  1. Sorry to say this, but the 5.5 litre amg and the new merc engine, has nothing to do with each other. The merc 5.5 is brandnew, a sublime engine with good low end tourque a goog sound and loves revs to. I easily do 9 km/l 10,6l/100 km in the cl. The 5.5 litre old amg is made of the old 5.0 litre merc engine.
  2. You have to see it live, i saw it 1,5 months ago, visiting my girlfriends parrents i stuttgart, I got a glimse of it as it went by, looked quite good
  3. It's going to have the 6.3 (which is actually a 6.2 but never the less) but with 450 bhp instead.
  4. Hi guys I logged in, first time in 2 days, and here's what I'm greeted with "Welcome back; your last visit was: Jul 9 2006, 04:50 PM" WTF My PM's gone and my signature is old, changed it twice since this one. Most likely related... http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?...c=18116&hl=
  5. we're getting our ml63 in november (without the 250 limit), looking so forward to that engine!!
  6. Go for ML63 amg one crazy car, and with the airmatic it should be almost as soft as the vogue
  7. It's amazing, thinking of buying one, the price is amazing... found some interesting ones in germany... Also cool that the Stig just beats the best time in the resonable prized car.
  8. Our ordered ML63 AMG is being produced in september, arriving here some time in oktober/november, not the first production line, this one will feature rearcamera, this is not available on the first prodoction run of the car. looking so forward to it on the german autobahn. offcourse ordered without the electronic limitation. it will do 275 km/h The 6.3 NA is available in the cars listed above. To my knowledge, the Kompressor 5.5 will only remain in the SL. You are extremely hindered by hp modifications with a factory NA motor instead of a factory FI motor. Look at Dinan M5's, they have minimal hp gains for big money compared to very little money for 100+ hp for 5.5 AMG cars. I think what he means is, what will the engine output, when for instance Kleemann super charge it!!!
  9. Do they? My family has had loads of VW's and never had any major problems- we got a '02 Golf TDI now- no problems- used to have an '85 Golf diesel- put 350,000 miles on it (problem free) sold it to a guy who had to put a new alternator on it...after ANOTHER 300,000 miles- 650,000 total so far. Last i heard it was still driving around somewhere. Those were the days. i was driving with a friend of mine in his golf V tdi (mainly because we were driving in denmark, were you lose your driverslicense when doing more than 100 mph on motorways and loose one of the three points in our license when doing more than 68 mph on countryroads, and it gets one hell of a mileage) the clutch up after less than 38000 km approx. 22000 miles. Doesn't sound that good to me. my merc with a manual and 4wd has got more than 40000 miles without a new one, and with much rougher threatment.

  11. Ever thought of giving the wheels some nano treatment? then the brake dust can't stick to the wheels. you can give your entire car that treatment. for instance the windshield, if treated, the water and dirt runs of when doing more than 40 mph, no need for wipers. thinking of giving our p-cars and mercs that treatment. some guy here at the forum got his murci done at my local merc dealer. you can try and ask what it's like. I'll see if I can find the thread tomorrow, since it's 01:30 am here and a work day...
  12. We had one in 1992-1993 but my dad didn't really like it. too much of a tourer, no engine sound at all, bought a 993 instead.
