  1. It was unexpectedly awesome. The trailers made it look really bad, but it actually was a very fun movie with plenty of easter eggs for fans and charm for casual movie goers. Well did Ron Howard. Well did.

  2. If you have been to the factory you can clearly see that the issue for them is producing the carbon tubs - I think they said the carbon plant is now running 24 hours but they still can only make something like 6 per day

The production line itself is also limited

Now clearly they could invest in another production line - but that would be mega money which I doubt VW currently want them to spend

As such I don't think they are able to increase V12 production

Right, if the demand was significant enough, then yes they'd get an expansion on the line going. But the big money makers are Huracan and (they are hoping) the Urus so those get priority, as a $200k car is easier to sell than a $400k car.

  3. In 2017 Lamborghini delivered 1,173 Aventador ... so I think 1,200 is about the maximum production number for the V12 per year ... I also think the assembly line will be converted for the replacement either in August 2019 ... or August 2020 at the lastest, when the factory closes for the Summer.

Production is only capped by demand. If they could, Lambo would sell 2,000 - 3,000 Aventadors in a year but the market just isn't there.

  4. Yup lol.

Since we are voicing our favorites at the moment, here are mine:

My favorite production Mac at the moment is 570S (Spyder preferably). It sounds the best of all McLarens, it is the one that is the most fun to drive and dare I say the one that actually looks best all around (I like 720S`s design overall minus the front).

Favorite Lamborghini at the moment: A tie between SV Roadster and Performante Coupe. Both are very different and both are unmatched in drama, feel, and design. Words can`t explain those cars, they need be experienced. That`s why Lamborghini is my favorite brand of these high end Supercar makers.

Favorite Ferrari in production at the moment: The 812 SF, it is the only Ferrari that one can still have some fun in (minus the ThethetheFerrari). Other cars in the line-up are a bunch of vacuum cleaners that don`t do it for me.

    We have similar tasts...

Favorite Present McLaren: 570S Spyder. Ditto what you said, especially since the P1 is no longer in production.

Favorite Present Lamborghini: The SV (coupe and Roadster) are the top. A few points behind I'll put the Aventador S (coupe and roadster). The Performante is my favorite of the Huracan range, especially the spyder.

Favorite Present Ferrari: The La-Ferrari. I like the 488 (except for the front bumper). I'm waiting to get a good amount of time with the 812 before passing judgement. I like the F12, the TDF is ugly in my book but badass where as the regular F12 looks nice. The GT4C Lusso and Portifino I feel look a lot better than their predecessors. I feel Ferrari needs to fire their guy responsible for naming the cars, because of the modern cars only the 488 & F12 has a decent names, but the rest pretty much are terrible (GT4C Lusso, Portifino, 488 Pista, La-Ferrari F12 TDF).

  5. This is so damn funny, history has a funny way of repeating itself or I must be able to predict the future LOL

Fortis, how many times do I have to tell you that you are the Resident Sage of L Power my friend?

  6. This discussion is why i have two ancient, 3 pedal Diablos. Slow compared to aything without 3 pedals, but FUN

You have a Diablo SV which is the sexiest car the 20th century produced, so go as fast or slow as you want :icon_thumleft:

I honestly scratch my head every time I hear about how “unlivable” is the single clutch tranny and either I have very very low standards or some of you guys need to stop whining lol. If I want ultimate luxury, smooth shifting blah blah I just get in the Bentley or drive the Mercedes. When I get in an “exotic car” the idea that I need to be pampered and wrapped in chinchilla smoothness goes out the window.

I was used to driving my 1100hp supra that had a clutch medal that felt like you were squatting stacks of plates to push and the on/off engagement was maybe an 1/8th”. Now that car was a bitch to drive in traffic. The suspension was so stiff, after a 45min drive tooth fillings would come loose and it gave me a smile ear to ear every time I drove it.

Right now the 6.0 is the “harshest” car I own and it drives like a Lexus compared to my Supra lol. I owned the 6.2 Murci for over a year and that is an early Egear and I had no complaints. Is it fastest ? No. But it was 10x easier than my Supra. The LP640 is a major upgrade to the 6.2 Egear and Aventador ISR is better IMHO than the LP640s system. So when I hear “oh my god I can’t live with the ISR” give me a brake lol.

:iamwithstupid: Ultimate 1st world problems :lol2: I can see why people wouldn't like the ISR, I just find the smoothness of the DCT takes away from the driving feel when you're going fast. The ISR deliverers as close to the old-school manual feel as you can get and I agree it's light-years ahead of the old E-gear systems and it's lighter than the a DCT. I hope in the future they put the ISR into a super hardcore driver because I feel the ISR gets no love despite how amazing an transmission system it is. It'll probably looked back on in 10 years fondly, much like the manual transmission is now. FYI the Supra is a dope car, I love it every time I see an MK IV on the road :icon_super:

I know its a great car, and drives better than an Aventador for sure, but to keep and collect with my other Lambos I want an Aventador. That being said, I will always prefer 3 pedal cars.

3-pedal is the way to go...unfortunately with my long dancer's legs (I'm 6"6") Italian cars get tricky (I can barely drive a Diablo, but need some seat and pedal adjustments), so having the F1-style transmission in the newer cars makes it physically easier for me to enjoy it. You also have a Diablo SV, which I will again say is the sexiest car the 20th century produced :icon_thumleft:

ISR on the AV is one reason I dumped the Huracan, maybe that sounds crazy but for my driving pleasure the AV is hands down a better experience....

:iamwithstupid: The Huracan is a great car, but the first time I drove a Huracan I was following an Aventador and I was wishing I was in the V12...The experience is just that much different. The Huracan is playful, zippy and has a great sounding engine. But it's also a bit calmer and smoother than the Aventador and is a car I could easily daily without thinking twice. The Aventador just feels special with the V12 and the single clutch...I've found that at speed DCT cars seem to all feel too similar.

Agree !! not boring to drive! Sold my Performante and got the AV-S Its a blast to drive.

    Wooo there's a 4th!

  7. If the A had a DC I don’t think I would have bought one. The DC is soooo boring, I hated my Huracan. I drove a Mac 650s for a day and was happy to give it back. The newest car a I have driven is a 488 Spyder and it’s boring AF. In the future I’m really worried about Lambo and DC.

    :iamwithstupid: The 2nd person is found :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumleft:

  8. Hold your arms outstretched and cup your hands together to form a small hole to look thru.

Pick a distance image and center it thru the small opening formed by cupping your hands together.

Close one eye at a time......you will automatically sight to your dominate side. When you close that eye, you won't see the image. The vast majority of right eyed people are right eye and left brain dominate. Left handed people as a percentage are more likely to be cross dominate. Still, most left handed people are left eye dominate.

    HOLY $HIT I"M A LEFT EYE

So I'm right handed, but left eyed...

I'm not sure what to do with this knowledge, but I feel like I just learned something randomly cool while doing something that simultaneously made me feel silly and blowing my mind.
