Providence is one of our favorite

SLS hotel has another great tasting called Somni.  SLS also has a great brunch

    Petrossian if you like caviar

    Melise

The Bazaar at the SLS hotel is also a great restaurant...too many good places to choose from in this city. +1 for Bandera in Brentwood as well.

thank you, took me a while to get it right, but it works nicely now.

That will take some work, as the 'livery' is also coupled to that ... front bumper lower section, side sills and rear bumper are all linked together as seen on the SVJ63 ... but it can be done, sure. How urgent do you need that online? Or would you like me to do a custom render for you? In that case, PM me the specs and I will put it together for you, offline.

Not urgent by any means...You're busy enough I'm sure. I'll PM you a spec :icon_thumleft:

If any of you might have missed it ... I did put together a brand new configurator for the Aventador SVJ.

The Coupé version is up and running : http://www.lamboconfig.com/lamboconfigurator_vfballlea02lalol0oo0lloaaall0j61llaoalaaaaaaaaaaaa.html

The Roadster version is still in the works ... all the options are there, but the exterior views don't show the interior options yet ... working on that as we speak

But you can already have some fun: http://www.lamboconfig.com/lamboconfigurator_wfbblllea02lalol0oo0llobaall0j58llaoalaeaaaaafaaaa.html

And best of all ... no more layers and only copying the logo ... you now get a jpg file you can download or copy ... much easier.

EPIC! Any way the front bumper and side sill color can be independent? Trying to render a black front pumper without the side being black also. Regardless, your efforts always amaze!

  4. So many great spots...depends on what part of town. Nobu is a bit over-ratted in my book, the food is ok but it's more of a seen than anything. Il Pastio is great.

    Malibu:

Taverna Tony - Epic Greek food, a lot of us car guys have been going there for years, I would highly recommend. Also a celeb can be a celeb hang out during the week.

Geoffrey's - Great for brunch with great views.

Malibu Seafood - More street food but really solid.

Beverly Hills: Il Forniao - Great food and during the week MacFleetwood loves hanging there (If you're a fleetwood mac fan).

Cafe Roma - Greet food and in the heart of Beverly Hills.

Peninsula Hotel Beverly Hills - they have a rooftop restaurant that's great for lunch.

    West Hollywood:

The Henry - A new spot with epic eats.

Toca Madera - Great mexican food, amazing drinks and a dope bar scene.

    E.P. & L.P. - Awesome Asian fusion and a epic rooftop bar.

I have so many more it's hard...feel free to DM me and I can give better recommendations based on your preferences. Let me know if you'd want to meet up, I'm always game to show some LP folks around.

  5. I would have liked less, but only if I got one of the less numbers!

Newer is almost always better, it will be a much better car to drive if it’s anything like the S, tough crowd, ring record, big loud V12 and jaw dropping looks. I couldn’t really have asked for more except free money with it, which is what people have been used to over the last few years!

I don’t see an issue with the number, currently the market is double what it used to be so all things remaining similar they would be fine for numbers retaining value. There is so many new dealers here it’s crazy. The problem is only if we move back to a market that we had 5-6 years ago when they came out and they actually were exclusive not because of numbers able to be produced, but the amount of buyers out there for them.

We have lived a lucky few years of cars not losing much compared to not that long ago, will it continue forever is anyone’s guess? I suspect it will continue for a while at least, there is a lot of money about in the world and finance is cheap.

Personally I wouldn’t buy a car of that value unless I was prepared to keep it for a few years and because I really wanted it (which I do) rather than it making money or being the latest shiny thing that everyone not just Lambo fans want. The market chasers that don’t even like cars but just want the car for show and then want out and into the next new thing is very bad for the brand and market and imo and also terrible as an owner profile, not so many years ago I would have bet I would like almost every Lambo owner I met, there was just something similar about them no matter race, colour or age now it’s probably 50:50. The world is changing and so is the brand, the numbers are just a reflection of that, if that’s a good or bad thing for the Lambo fans is open ended but it is certainly different in the last few years.

I also think the performante market is the most vulnerable should the market turn a bit.

Looks like the Senna might be gunning for the SVJ's ring record...

    https://www.motor1.com/news/264070/mclaren-...seeking-record/

As tracked out as that car is it had better come close or beat the time...Then again...Where is the McLaren P1's time?

    tumblr_inline_mx6z0kzNtT1s2m7xu.gif

And I am sure it will have no problem breaking it. Hell the 720s with right tires will do it.

    Still looking for that time...

    tumblr_inline_mx6z0kzNtT1s2m7xu.gif

    Agreed. Well said.

Another thing to add to what you already said; people only want something they feel guaranteed to make money on, because of some supposed low production numbers. At least Lamborghini are willing to build their most exclusive car in bigger numbers than expected, so people who WANT the car and to use it, will actually be able to buy one. This should be applauded! Unlike Porsche or Ferrari where you have to jump through hoops and beg to get a car, and even then you aren't sure of getting the car at list price.

Bravo Lambo!! I love the SV-J.

:iamwithstupid: Precisely, Lamborghini will let you get their latest and great (with the understandable exception of the 1-off cars) without the headache of jumping through all these BS hoops. When getting an SVJ is simplier than getting a Porsche GT4 you know something is up :eusa_wall:

  6. If you think about it logically, the A-pillars were an option for the SV, if you get a Roadster you can get carbon roofs, that leaves the rear deck lid in carbon and the wing support, I personally don’t see the value, if it’s only $100k more just to say that yours is the rarest out of 1800 units it might be worth it I guess but otherwise it wouldn’t make much sense to me.

:iamwithstupid: :iamwithstupid: :iamwithstupid: $100k Sticker pack. All the carbon exposure is Ad Personam options you can already do on any Aventador.

There's 900 coupes excluding the SVJ63, so 963 coupes total. The official Lamborghini website refers to the SVJ coupe specifically, meaning the SVJ Roadster is coming later. The roadster will be produced in similar numbers to the coupe, likely slightly less.

In total we'll see over 10,000 Aventadors. Exactly as alpha said, these are all Aventadors, whether it's the 2012 base or the Centenario. Up to you to decide whether there is exclusivity in any of the models.

For me, I was 100% onboard with the SVJ. I'm now at 50%.

You're dead on with the production numbers. As for exclusivity, Lamborghini needs to make their money so I can see why they are capping production at 963 coupes, if they even make that many (*cough cough LP760 SV production cough cough*).

On the plus side it makes your SV more rare so it's value should hold strong.

There is not a question in my mind about it being an upgrade. I have driven the Aventador S and its a significant improvement over standard Aventador with the 4ws. Just the 4wheel steering alone is a major major upgrade. So the SVJ having that and better suspension, lighter, ALA etc is def an upgrade. The question really is more about production numbers. If they made 300 of them everyone would be losing their mind to get one.

:iamwithstupid: Honestly, if you like it, just get it and drive the shit out of it. 900 coupes is a "lot" but at the same time it's still a super rare car and it's the top of range hypercar you can get right now.

It's hilarious that Lamborghini makes the most badass car that's faster than everything out there and people still aren't happy :lol2:

  7. These characters seeking instafame exist because a lot of drivers in their own way are seeking it as well. Not everyone, but enough to create these people. It's a circle-jerk. In the 90s if you had an exotic you were somebody. Today, not so much, but you can pretend to be one if the photo of you gets enough likes and that feels pretty good.

It reminds me of the ego trips you used to see once you got the car-parazi kids following people everywhere back in '06...IG did more than inflate the ego of basic chicks...it also gave a lot of car owners that same ego inflation. That's why exotics on Cannery Row exists...

  8. agree 100%, is this your spec?!

This would be close to my spec, I'm waiting for Lambo cars to get his configurator up and going so I can make some further tweaks. Finger crossed a few deals in the works come through so I can finally bring home a new toy :headbang:

That looks really good. The only issue is how they are not allowing you to change the color of the J so it ends up either adding extra accent colors or if your car is red then the J doesnt stand out.

In my situation i want Blu Cepheus with yellow accents. The issue is the configurator doesnt allow you to pick yellow as the center locks, the J remains red. Even the SV shows can only be in black. And interior doesnt show yellow trim as option. So i have ended up with this which is not bad but i rather not have blue, yellow and red lol

    post-13156-1535497905.jpg

I'd suggest doing orgnage accents with the calipers and such, the blu cephus / orange combo really pops :icon_thumleft:

What did you guys think of the new stitching option?? I am kinda torn.

I really like it. I was helping my friend spec his car at the lounge and we both agreed it looked good.

When I asked one of the Ad Personam guys about it he said that was a thing they had discussed internally and decided on that you could not get the "J" in any other color, even with Ad Personam.

You can easily enough get it flled in aftermarket with any color you want. Sucks Lambo won't do it in house, but not impossible to fix.

I really liked the Rosso Pyra- satin red....

But I still can’t get over 900 cars.

    I wonder how many roadsters...

The 63 is enticing but must be hard to get.

Rooso Pyra is pretty sleek too...Matte does look great on this car. I'm more partial to the metallic sparkling finish, but a Rosso Pyra SVJ would match your LP760 SV quite nicely.

There's a lot of misinformation about the production numbers because some people are claiming 900 SVJ's total. At the 63 event a few reps from HQ clearly said 900 coupes, roadster is separate. And is there any truth to the 1963 production total?

I was told 900 coupes will be made, and only 63 coupes of the 63 Edition will be made, for 963 total coupes. No roadster numbers where released yet, which is it's own separate line.

  9. I've met him also few times: Gumball rally in Finland years a go and got an interview from him to one media outlet 2017 in UK. He is good guy definately.

But I still can't watch the videos, thumbnail images where he is squatting and pointing to the obvious car next to him. I cant take that no more. Also the overenthusiasm and sheer volume of the intro on of every video can rip ears off.

:iamwithstupid: Agreed, he's a cool guy, though I am not really a fan of his videos. I ran into at the Bugatti Divo Launch and at the Mercedes Party.

His personality outside of that cant justify it. He is a worst kind of person because of the act, no matter how normal is he othervise.

I am sure Hitler was pretty mild guy if you were his florist in Neuschwanstein Castle but it does not make his other sins go away.

    This is why I love L Power :lol2: :lol2:

  10. Odds some big players have his name on a black list for all future events?

One can only hope, that or Fortis' guys get to him first. :icon_mrgreen:

Well he did sneak in to the event, but you guys will need to up the bounty rewards for faster action... :turboalex:

If an event happens and nobody is there to Instagram it, did it happen? It's a circle jerk, everybody needs each other so he's the inevitable result and only the first of his kind.

:lol2: It was interesting seeing a lot of Social Media stars there. I ran into Schmee150 and Supercar Blonde while I was up there. I think the next generation of "celebrities" will come from the Social Media scene and it'll be interesting to see how that evolves.
