  1. I don't know if that's exactly what I was looking for... I'm not quite sure yet but I might even suggest you read the very last sentence of my previous post very carefully!
  2. I'm a relatively long time viewer (been there for a few years now, mostly lurking though) of ferrarichat.com and I clearly remember the times when Allanlambo used to "troll" the f-chat with his bashing of Ferrari and making sure everyone knew how he much he preferred Lambo over Ferrari. Now I often enjoyed his posts since it was quite fun to sit back and relax as the flame wars went on and on over pretty much everything Allanlambo contributed to the chat. I was sad to see him banned, but I guess the mods at f-chat couldn't take his style anymore... :| Now I just found this site today but I instantly sensed a certain athmosphere here towards Ferrari(s). It makes me wonder, how did it come to this?? One might imagine, that especially the owners (although not necessarily the fanboys) of these exotic cars would respect all exotic cars instead of being stuck up on some performance numbers..say I doubt a man with a Rolex can't respect a fine Breitling when he sees one. It reminds me of the tuned Supra/Stang/POS/Skyline/etc. crowd who seem to appreciate pure acceleration and straight line performance above all else. I think most of the people here and over at ferrarichat know, that ultimately exotics are never going to be the quickest accelerating cars out there. Those tuners are always going to be one step forward. That is because most of the exotics are kept at least relatively close to the original concept anyway (when it comes to the engine). Ofcourse there are exceptions, but that doesn't change the general truth. The tuners can basically do anything to the engines cause their cars totally lack any exclusivity hence they don't care if they have to replace everything that's original. I realize there has to be competetition between the manufacturers since they're into the same business, but I must say I am surprised to see it reflecting so strongly on the owners of these automobiles. So in the end I just ask, HOW this "battle" got started? Was it there before the Internet? And I'm talking about OWNERS here, not the schoolboys...if you know what I mean. I'll probably get flamed for this...so for those who are planning to flame me, I'll put this here in advance just for you: :finga:
