  1. Guys, thanks for all the friendly notes! Today I spent most of the day taking apart a good section of the engine compartment. Just to get to one of the valve covers that is leaking. I made the mistake of leaving the garage door open, so a good part of the time was spent talking to neighbors! Thanks for the note on the fog light! I think it would be a good idea to create an illustrated manual for maintenance of the Countach. With participation of all who have some experience and want to contribute. We could include variants in service, for Carburated cars and Fuel Injected, and for two and four valves. Tips, parts exchange, information on good shops for different work, paint shops, upholstery, custom parts, reproductions of hard to find parts etc.
  2. 4n6md: That was a very nice thing to say. I appreciate it much! Could you guys also share pictures? I have interest in Garages that are Automotive themed. I started collecting items that ended up on the walls of my garage, (the only area in the house for me that is not off-limits!). But somehow it looks untidy at best. I messed up the floor too, and somehow it just doesn't look in tune with a nice car.
  3. A neighbor kid (5~6 Yrs old) comes to the garage and asks: "Is this a Lamborghini?" Dang! how does he know? You just don't see these cars, so I believe the other reaction from an older lady at a gas station is more realistic: "What kind of car is this??", "I have never seen anything like it!" "Is this a Ferrari?" The "collection" in the picture below is all the cars I can't afford. At least not at the same time, like the Sultan of Brunei...
  4. Definitely, sorry for the gap! Now that we are tuned to this VERY nice topic, does any of you guys know details on that third light that often can be seen as a "third" stop light on some European Countachs? I heard it is a fog light? how is it used? (I kind of want to add it to my CT...)
  5. I appreciate the comment, it was a serious question. Probably when I actually do it I might realize it is not as hard. Everytime I have backed up I used the mirrors. I am simply still a little stressed every time I drive the CT. More time driving it and I would probably master it in every way. It is still an impressive machine. the most adrenaline-pumping car I have ever driven.
  6. CT owner here, I have to present this question, to people who share the same car and the same backing up problem. I am actually scared of backing up my CT with the door open, and sitting on the door sills. Somehow I get the feeling I could fall off and leave the car running in reverse! I can't find a good grip on the roof or dash, any suggestions or ideas? leave the seat belt on? I feel I have to take it to a safe area where I can practice, because at my house's garage I feel I could cause an accident. (Remember the clutch is heavy and I am at an angle, sitting and looking back). Thanks for any comments!
  7. I have to say Chad also provided me with an owners manual and diagrams for my '84 CT. I don't have anything urgent to buy at the moment, but I would definitely go to him when I do. Chad, question: Do you know if affordable (?) floor mats are available (with Lambo logo) for the CT? and how much they might be? How about those really tight car covers, indoors with the Lambo logo. Thanks!
