He's a fcuking schmuck.
He's gonna sell all the cars, sue macca stating he fears for his life and had to sell them, wait for a settlement from him and his insurance company - someone told me he insured the Senna for what he paid (including the 500k overs) and for another 500k on top of that so he's smiling all the way to the bank on this one and will end up buying a Chiron or something similar when that dust settles.
Exactly.

Truthfully, if it gets rid of the ricer fart cans, subarus with straight pipes you can hear for blocks, and those dickheads on harleys with open headers, I'm all for it. We get it, you're a 47yr old cpa in a midlife crisis who jerks off to sons of anarchy reruns, but dont punish the rest of us. Those guys are all just fcuking assholes.
Exactly. Loud exhausts are annoying. Most of them aren't even on worthy cars. CA >

I’ll post some photos of mine once permits are issued and we can start building. I’m hoping to take @Fortis‘s ‘House Boss’ title with this one.
Oh snap!

I remember you saying a Evo Hi-Mod was your next bike. Glad you went the S route, fantastic bikes. I went through a Cannondale phase and their bikes were ehhh, not my style.
Rim brakes and carbon wheels?! Have you tried a disc bike yet? I won't go back to rim after having disc.

Merry Christmas to me and my
wife
Very nice!!!! My next bike for sure will be Specialized.
Was not feeling my Cannondale and surprisingly , after my Cannondale took a dump, my DIamondback has been the best bike I've ever had.
I was watching the new phil gaimon video of him cycling in PV. Seem like that area is more suited for a gravel bike? I'm going to take a summer trip out there, take all of your KOMs

where did u move to?
Bay Area -> S.FL and back. Ft. Lauderdale
I liked the area. But that humidity I could not get used to. I'll never move away from the West Coast again. Its great if you like the beach/water, but I'm not a beach guy. I never go to the beach here and I'm 20 mins away.
East Coast has a different vibe, I liked it. Just the humidity. I'm sure I could get used to it, but I'm too familiar with CA.
But I do miss the Waffle House.

Looks like FL. I don't miss it!

Did anyone win last night...let me check...NO!
Damn. What a waste of $. I hope I at least win a free quick pick from the last time. When I was in the store people were dropping $100, $50, etc. They must be even more mad. I just bought $2 worth.
Someone in Morgan Hill did win 3.4 million.

Keep in mind that if the jackpot is about $1 billion, Uncle Sam will take a nice slice of that first. Not that being maybe a $600 millionaire would be bad though.
But then you.take it to Vegas. Place it on black. Boom . $1.2 billion.

You're telling me, all I have to do to become a billionaire is win mega and powerball? In.
Didn't know it was so much. I'll throw in $2 for a quick pick, why not.
I would buy wheels a lambo.
EDIT: Draw closes in 1 hour and I never carry cash, so I don't think I'll make it in time to find cash and get a ticket lol. Oh well :(: (

Have you guys read Ray Dalio's principles? He has a short 1 hour youtube video that pretty informative if not and goes over where we're at IMO. Were at the end of a cycle, but I wouldn't say times are bad. The market has been crushing it for nearly 10 years? A little correction doesn't hurt. And over time, the US economy prevails. And GDP has been good as well. Trade tensions with China, not so good, but in the end I think both sides will work it out.

how much does your neighbor want and the miles?
Here is the 1500 mile one that recently sold for $46,000 + 5% fee on BAT - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2000-mercedes-benz-sl500-17/
Here is the 5500 mile one that recently sold for $29,750 + 5% fee on BAT - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1999-mercedes-benz-sl500-29/
Right now there's a 43k mile on on BAT ending tomorrow and the bid is up to $16,000 already, it just seems these bids came out of nowhere bc I looked at one maybe 2 years ago, good shape and seller wanted $8k for like 85k miles.
I think its 110-120k miles at $7.9k. High asking price, I would try to get it sub $6k. Its a nice one, I haven't bitten because it isn't quite what I want. Too many out there to settle. I don't think the demand is there for this MY. I've been looking for silver arrow editions.
I think the pre 1998 cars were before Daimler (correct me if wrong). People swear by the pre 1998 engines. Bullet proof engines, true MB era. The SL600 V12 engine are amazing. And the pre 1998s had nice-er interiors. Perforated leather seats, optional pano roofs.
The only reason I would go 1999-2002 is the AMG styling is standard and you get the xeon headlights.

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how much I should pay for this car.
It's 1 owner, 2006, 106k miles, maintenance records(not sure what was done), new tires/shocks/struts(claimed, not verified), has the wood trim option for interior....asking $9.9k, but I think that's a little on the steep side.
Any clue how much its worth? I'm checking it out later today so need to look over it for any other problems it may have. I can't find any comparables/not a whole lot of transaction history for this model
