rmolke85 Report post Posted December 25, 2009 Why does my downdraft have a FLA instead of the GLA I am seeing in my VIN number. I am new, 86 blk/blk downdraft. Greatest car in our collection Oh that sound and no one knows how fast they really can be set up.

The drawback of the 1985 QV is the transmission, basically stock leftovers from the 2 valve 5000S old stock - ratios might be a little different also. In 1986 the ZF tranny was introduced (also used for the 25th) Much more precise.
Tony Ierardi Report post Posted December 26, 2009 The "F" in FLA is the year code. 1980 = A 1981 = B 1982 = C 1983 = D 1984 = E 1985 = F 1986 = G 1987 = H Lamborghini started in 1982 with CLA12*** prior to that the chassis # from 1978 - 1981 was 1121*** Your car FLA12*** is a 1985 car. The 4 valve Countach began in 1985. GLA12*** is a 1986 Countach. Tony
