Murci Key programming

I have a spare key that came with the lambo and want to get it programmed.

 

My shops been told by the local lambo dealer that the key does not belong to the vehicle therefore can not be programmed. I thought you used the VIN to get the details and then program it???

 

I have not got confirmation but I think they want me to buy another key.

 

Is this info correct?

Take it to your handy independant Audi shop ?!..... There's an immobiliser chip inside the key handle too, to be programmed as well as the alarm remote....
