How to remove roll bar covers?

Hi All

 

I would like to remove my roll bar covers to try and give them a good polish, failing that get them sprayed as the gloss black is quite faded..

 

 

Any idea how easy/hard these are to remove?

 

Also any ideas why they are black on all cars, and not the same colour as the car... I am thinking of having mine colour coded if polishing does not bring them back to black perfectly..

UH-Matt Try these instructions.

 

1. Remove left and right panel with a wedge.

2. There are some torx screws are revealed on the inner center side of the panels.

3. Remove.

4. With a wedge lift panel up carefully.

 

Good luck getting the shine back in. I have not seen these color match painted, but like the Idea.
