New owner and seat latch question

Hello all,

New owner here of a 2010 LP 560-4 spyder. I have had the car two weeks now and am in love with it. After many P cars among others this is my first foray into the exotic world.

I have a question about the latch located on the rear of the backrest. On mine the drivers side was broken when I got the car home, I thought I had checked the passenger side as well, but that is now broken as well. It appears the frame of the latch hits the rear wall of the cockpit and cracks.

The dealer sent me a new latch to put on. Does anyone have experience in doing this?

Thanks

Eric

My seat latch is broken on my drivers seat in my '07 also. Passenger side works tho. What's up with that? Is it an easy fix?

This install should not be terribly difficult but they are prone to breaking, particularly on the 10 and 11 Spyders (new headrest design in 11). If the installation once the parts arrive does not seem self explanatory, your local service advisor should be able to walk you through the procedure.

Thanks everyone. I cannot tell you how much in love with this car I am. Its limits which I haven't come close to probing are so far beyond anything I have driven to date (including quite a few road race cars)!

Not quite the dance partner as some, but the sound of that engine is worth the price of admission alone!
