  1. After selling my Diablo to Chad, it left a void. That's the excuse I told the wife anyways, plus, she wanted something more modern. The Diablo was too much of a brute for her to enjoy from the passenger seat. So we hardly take the car out. Wife wanted Huracan, but I'm not very fond of DCT. Too easy and not enough drama, imo.

One of my favorite cars that I've thoroughly enjoyed owning was the STS. Wife really liked that car, too. Zero issues and a ton of fun to drive. Looks awesome and sounds terrific for a V10, especially with the loc. So when Danny's UGR with the race package came on the market, it checked off all of the right boxes. The car was local to me and that made purchasing a whole lot more appealing. Plus, being a 1-owner and in immaculate condition, it was a no-brainer. Huge thx to Danny for being a stand-up guy. Would not hesitate to buy anything from him sight unseen. Awesome people on this forum!

With just a quick drive on the lowest boost setting, HOLY CRAP!!! This car is a monster. Pulls like nothing else. Why would anyone ever need this much power, I don't know. But it's hella addictive and a ton of fun. I'm just worried that any car I buy from now on would be depressingly slow.

By now, I'm sure that most everyone knows that I never leave any of my car stock. So I definitely have something in store for the esthetics dept. Can't wait to make this car look like a real monster. Thx for letting me share my story.

  2. Cool video bud. Does the titanium M have primary deletes or just strictly cat back? Sounds so much better than the yellow.

Good call on the Diablo. The tubi sounds good. But when it's next to the M, not even close. Can't wait to hear the new exhaust.

  3. guys, im doing the big brake kit by brembo on the rear of the 91, i am going to be replacing the parking brake pads and i can't figurer out how to collapse the piston in the parking brake caliper. Help would be much appreciated!

Sorry, can't help you with this question. But since you're changing out the calipers, I had many times thought about going orange to match the interior. Just never got around to doing so ;)

  4. When I got the car I found a binder over 3" thick of service history on the car!! I was amazed. In that binder were pictures of an engine out and I had to know what it was all about first hand. So I made a call to murcivu and he told me to get in touch with Dave.

So I learned a ton today. Thanks to suzukidave for spending a ton of time on the phone with me. He was the previous owner of the car before murcivu.

When he got the car the engine didn't quite run right. He took the valve covers off to check some things out and the cam shaft was actually able to move side to side by hand.. So he undertook a major engine overhaul that took over 40 minute conversation on the phone to talk about! ha.

    long story short.

driver side head and engine block were the only thing in perfect condition. so he left that head alone but did the valve adjustment and made sure everything was tip top.

Hydraulic tensioners were raplaced with the manual ones

found someone that knew his shit and was currently rebuilding an old gt250 motor. sent the other head to him and had them line bore it and add customer bearings and did a full valve job

bottom end was full of copper. so he spent over 40 hours cleaning out the entire block and oil passages and lines etc. sent the crank to a guy in florida that works on nascar engines and did the bearing 10 over with custom hardened racing bearings for the rods and crank.

had the crank nitrite coated and polished

brand new lambo rods and pistons with custom total seal steel rings

    custom machined oil pump

everything set at euro spec timing

while the engine was out he got a lot of information from evans and lambo shop that was in orlando he noted. He found the best of the best for everything that needed to be done and really went the extra mile on the engine.

Evans gave him info on who to contact for the kevlar clutch and plate kit so that was installed as well.

I couldn't be more happy to learn all of this info about the car, and to know it has been in true enthusiast's hands for most of it's life.

Such a cool story. Never even knew all of this till now. So glad you're mechanically inclined and appreciate what Dave has done to the car. Yeah, when he gave me that thick book, I thought it was written in Morse code...LOL. Told you the car was meant for you.

  5. Try reaching out to Frank over at Raging Bull. He's been maintaining the car over the past 3 years. Perhaps he can give you some guidance. Just tell him I sent you. And prior to him was Mark over at Sphere Motorsports. He was the one that actually replaced the fuel sender. I would give him a try as well. Hope that helps.

  6. She's on her way! Definitely the sexiest car I've ever owned. Congrats again Chad and enjoy in good health. I'm not one to be sentimental about my cars leaving, but I have such a soft spot for this car. Guess partly because my son grew up with it for the past 10 years. She will be missed but never forgotten.

  7. Thanks for the kind comments my friend! . I know exactly what you mean. It’s scary holding onto something when a transaction is complete. I’m not worried about it for a second! Can’t wait to see her in person. :icon_thumleft:

Just promise me for whatever reason you decided to sell her later on, let me have first dibs at buying it back.

  8. Congrats to both the former and the new owner. Awesome looking car! Sounds like a win-win transaction for all parties. :icon_thumleft:

I agree. Couldn't have ask for a better transaction.

I love that car! Congrats to both of you!

Thx Allan. Appreciate you giving me a chance.

Kind of but not really. I had parts from one of these kits, as I was told, Vic had Swift Engineering (the race car people) make twenty or so kits copied from original parts. The kits were of very high quality. Somehow in the mid 2000's, Lambo Dallas (I think) purchased all of the kits that weren't put on cars and were selling them on ebay for relatively cheap money (compared to what they cost when new). If I remember correctly, a couple of accident damaged SV's were repaired with these kits, Alex from SP converted his 6.0 and I think there were a couple of other 6.0's rebodied with these kits.

Regardless, murcivu's car is one of the nicest conversions I've seen. What's cool about this car is that it's been through the ownership of three LP board members over the last 13 or so years. Congrats again!

Spot on...as always! You are a walking Diablo encyclopedia. Never ceases to amaze me. Appreciate the kind comment.

That is an awesome Diablo and I love the kit and the color.

A car like that really needs to go to an enthusiast who can appreciate the work done. Unfortunately, permanent aftermarket mods can be a liability come re-sale time though given that this one was done to such factory spec, and how rare Diablo's are compared to later cars, it's a crapshoot whether that would hold true on this car. That stated, an enthusiast can appreciate the final outcome of this car, and the trust that comes with a 'known' seller is a key element both in getting proper value and also in closing the deal.

I wish you many happy miles, in it.

    Congratulations to you both.

You are absolutely correct. These types of cars are not for everybody. It does take that special person/people to appreciate it for what it is. As for the value, it usually comes down to whatever the seller and buyer agrees upon. In the end, that's all that matters.

Love to see our cars stay with LP members! That is what it is all about! Huge Congrats Chad...that car is SICK!!!!! WIN/WIN seller/buyer on LP!

Couldn't have gone to a better LP member!

Jeez that looks great! Congrats on your purchase mate. Enjoy in the best of health.

Are those work equips by chance?

    Yes. Work wheels.

Looks like the car might make it to me by monday or tuesday! pretty stoked!

Dude...I was hoping it would've already arrived. That's ok. At least I got to play with it for another week.

Just busting your chops. I'm paranoid to even touch the car now, much less drive it. Had to bust out the car cover and post warning signs all around the car ;)

  9. I'm sorry to hear and hope you get it sorted stat. As much as I love my LP, egear issues will always be in the back of my mind. I too had to drop @ $10k on the egear right after 2 wks of owning the car. Hopefully that won't have to happen again for a very long time.

I have to give a very special thank you to Murcivu. He is just an absolute wonderful person to work with and I am glad to say I feel I have made a new friend.

After some great time talking over the last 3 weeks and a lot of help in multiple ways we were able to finalize a deal. His Diablo with the GT body is heading to me.

Can't say enough about how awesome he has been to work with and how excited I am to get his car. He has spent so much quality time preparing this car and I have always had a dream that somehow I could own it. I am above elated right now!!

I have dearly missed my 6.0 verde car and I am so glad it went to someone that did that car all the justice in the world with alpha6164. I hope to be worthy of Murcivu's car.

    Thank you bro!

My brother. You are more than worthy of the car. Like I told you before, if it was meant for you, then it'll find it's way. I'm elated as well that the car couldn't have gone to a better person. I know you and your family will enjoy it as much as I did with mine. I've been blessed to have made great friends through the lambo community. Thank YOU for a such wonderful experience and I'm sure there are more to come. Meantime...courtesy of Lambo of Dallas (awesome dealership BTW)
