That Cadillac Ciel concept in the Entourage movie

Being overweight, sedentary, and having a bad diet affects basically every organ and joint, and for the US to be paying so much for healthcare while having such a significant portion of overweight, sedentary individuals almost makes sense actually. Healthcare issues, especially ones which are lifestyle induced, will be chronic and the costs to address them will be paid over and over and over. The treatment isn't a one time deal.
And that folks, is the biggest driver on why health care is so expensive.
The medical and pharmaceutical companies are making a killing (no pun intended) on keeping those who insist on trashing their bodies somewhat healthy.

Low self-esteem and high alcohol tolerance. My kind of woman.
As long as you don't have to pay for those 24 beers a night.
Can you imagine what her bar tab would be? Holy crap. Not a cheap date.

Does anyone here have Tim Ferris as a aquiantance? He could help us here. I know he ezperimented with tons of stuff including ketosis
One of the most eye opening books I ever read on "hard core" fat loss was by Dan Duchaine called Body Opus
He has you go into Ketosis for 5 days and then super compensate carbs for 48 hours. The anabolic response is pretty amazing.
I tried it twice with surprisingly good results.
Disclaimer: It is very extreme, geared more to a professional body builder getting ready for a competition. Not to be confused with a healthy lifestyle.
With that said, there was much I could take away and tweak it to a more sustainable realistic lifestyle of what to eat and when.

Love Art de Vany since hes an economist first a bodybuilder/nutritionist second. Heres one for you guys to ponder- when humans were hunters not gatherers, as emanon said grains made us less optimal humans, hunters only were healthiest we've been, so, when people went to hunt, you'd imagine they didnt do it after a pre workout shake .. no they went hunrgy. And then chases that animal, and then killed it. Now the good part. When they killed it they didnt eat it, they carried it back to camp and had to wait to prepare the meat. If hunting and dragging is the workout, then Not eating after workout while you drag the animal to the cave is more benefitial. Art says that to build natural muscle thet stays, workout hungry and do light cardio for 1 hr after before you eat. That muscle should then stick and you get good hgh growth, and not what bodybuilders have which is muscle that goes away and youre back to base weight. I pulled deadlifts hungry and didnt notice hunger affecting lbs. but didnt do it long enough to see for myself ynforunately.
Back in those generations, most never made it to 40 years old....

I eat small meals every 2 hours.
Think about a large bear and a horse. Both about 1200 lbs. The horse grazes all day. It's body has no reason to store fat because the next meal is literally minutes away. Unlike the bear, the horse has very little body fat covering all of that muscle.
Eating small meals helps keep blood sugar stable and on the lower side. Keeping your blood sugar on the low side prevents subcutaneous fat also. High blood sugar is usually met with insulin (the storage hormone). When those 2 are on the high side at the same time the insulin will push most blood sugar into the fat cell. The ONLY time this will not happen is right after a heavy session of physical activity.
Long story short....Eat a high simple carb / high protein meal immediately after physical activity (within 10 min). The rest of your day lower complex carbs with protein and non saturated fats every couple of hours.

Please don't flame me for asking a naïve question.
Wouldn't sharing information about a serious enemy / threat be advantageous ?

I have been lifting seriously for over 20 years.
I notice when my elbows get cranky it is usually because I am not doing enough pronated (palm down) curls.
So much focus on standard curls can cause the radius bone to move slightly out of joint. Grab a camber bar and use a weight light enough for 25-30 reps.
Place your hands on the outer/wider knurl with your palms facing the floor. Bend your wrists slightly as to where the palm moves a little closer to the forearm. Keep your elbows narrow and slightly forward. Curl slowly and with full range. Pause at the contraction at the top.
3-4 sets a couple times a week should make a positive difference.

I thought this section would be the right place for this. I know there are 2 different ideas for garage lifts (2 or 4 post)
The 2 post had significant advantages here.
Yesterday I helped my Dad reunite the body to the chassis of his 61' over at my house. This has been a 5 year "frame off" rotisserie project that I have helped him with a little here and there.
Hope you enjoy.

I'm just excited for the possible "ripple effect" that it could have on the rest of the manufacturers. Both domestic and import will probably be paying close attention to see how people respond to it.

Does that knock off the Tesla for the fastest / quickest production car ?

I have had a 2 post lift for quite some time. The slab in my second garage was poured thick for that purpose.
The 2 post can make it easier to work on the car. Especially anything to do with wheels, brakes and suspension.
Before anyone comments safety concerns about my gal in the car, there are 4 safety stands rated at 2,000lbs each under the car in conjunction with the safety locks secured on the lift itself. She was helping me bleed my brakes after replacing the rubber lines. Sure, I could have used my vacuum pump but this was more fun.
