  1. very good idea, i knew about the audi relationship, but i never thought about having them check it out for me. im pretty sure we have an audi dealership new by. anyone else have any input on this? can audi tell me how much clutch i have left?
  2. hello, i have an 04 gallardo with e-gear and i want to know how much clutch i have left. i have read that i only need to take it to someone who has a laptop to tell me the clutch reading and it should only take 5 mins. my problem is that i am in minnesota, and the closest lambo dealer is in chicago or st.louis. do you know if any shop can give me this reading? maybe a porsche or bmw dealership? or is there a way i can find out myself?
  3. thanks, but i ended up figuring it out myself. it kinda was the master cylinder. i tried another thing, ive found that if a master cylinder might be bad, then if you kick the pedal hard and fast that you should be able to get the rubber seal in the cylinder to hold and thus feel pressure in the pedal. after two or three kicks, it fixed it self. so clearly there was a small piece of rust or sand that got in there and let the fluid blow by. however now i have another problem, the brakes feel fine, but when i take a hard corner, the brake light flashes at me for a couple seconds. any ideas? i haven't had time yet to check the fluid level, but my guess is it might be low?
  4. Hi guys, i just picked up my first G. I know cars very well and im pretty sure i know what the problem is on my 04 G, but i wanted to run it by your guys just to see what you think. The problem is that i have a very weak brake pedal. the pedal doesn't even try to stop the car until you get to the last inch of pedal all way to the floor. I bleed the brakes and im pretty sure its the master cyl.. when i was bleeding the brakes (i was on the outside and someone else was pumping the brakes for me). i started with the driver front wheel and the fluid would squirt out of there very high like it should. however the other three wheels the fluid barely came out when pressing the pedal down fairly fast. that kinda makes me think that maybe there is some more air in the line. but i did run a quart of fluid though system trying to flush out all the old fluid in the process. i did bleed both the inner and outter valves at each wheel. Fyi, i bought this car as is, so i can't tell you how long its been like this or if it happened all of a sudden. i don't see any spots under the car that looks like fluid is leaking anywhere and the brake fluid reservoir was full all the way to the top before i started. so if there was a leak, then i would think that it wouldn't have been full. if you agree and think its a master cyl. where do you suggest that i buy one? thanks for any help you can provide.
  5. Thanks, I need to admit that I was over on the Ferrari fourm for awhile and them Ferrari people seem to be dicks. Looks like I found were all the decent people are. As for the G, it gets here on Tuesday. Yes it has a salvage title. The insurance company gave him an option for repairs, but he didn't want a repaird lambo. so he took the pay out and thus the salvage title. I have a couple pics of how it looks right now. clearly there is no major damage.
  6. Yup, im the new owner of this car. It should be here in the next few days.
