I am helping a friend research a purchase for a pre-LP G. Obviously 2004 had the lowest rated engines and I was told by my lambo mechanic the 2008s are the best. In fact, the 2008s although rated similarly to the 2006 are actually better performing (think SLs) I found some similar dynos for a quick comparison on youtube 2008 Results 483/375 2004/2005 Results 410/348 Does anyone have more information?

I just picked mine up and it is a 6 speed. I enjoy rowing the gears.
