  1. Ya, any one can do it. However, I wouldn't take it to "anyone". I took mine to a shop that all they do is setup cars for road coarse racing. They have never done a Lambo, but there was nothing to it. Everything was accessible without removing any under panels. However, Lambo uses special shims that only Lambo use. But we used some shims off of a Lotus and they worked fine.
  2. Ok, I took the door panel off. Very easy to do. I found what the problem was. A bolt had backed off on the rear window mount where it mounts to the rear track. Very easy fix. I took some photos to show.
  3. I can confirm, you do need an alignment done. When we check my car after lowering it the camber and tow where off from factory specs. I attached a photo of my car getting done last friday after lowering it.
  4. Over time I noticed when people would shut my passanger door it would always rattle. Today someone shut it and I went to buzz the window up and it won't go up. I can see it come up about 1/2" and then it goes back down. Something came undone with in the door. Does the door panel come off easy? I only see one screw on the outside, it's close to the door hinge area. Then there is one on the speaker grill on the bottom of the door. I look forward to someone's advise on how to remove the door panel.
  5. Thanks. I lool forward to your post.
  6. What about the front diff? Use the same Redline MTL DL-4 70W/80 oil? In the "destruction" manual is says to use 75W/90 (and in the rear it wants 70W/75) Should I put the 70W/80 in the rear and the 75W/90 up front or go 70W/80 all around?
  7. I lowered my Gallardo today. Very easy job. I only went eight turns on the lock rings. In fact, the front lock rings would only go eight turns before they bottomed out. The ride is good. It seems a little bit "squishier" than it did, but still ok. I'm getting the camber adjusted in the morning. The lowering job only took me one hour to do. 15 mins per wheel. Now I need some spacers. Not very big, like a half inch or 3/8" would do. Anyone know of any? Would I half to replace the lugs? If so, is there any black lugs out there?
  8. I just found out that decompressing the spring lowers the car.
  9. Thanks for the info. I have a 2007 Nera. Can you verify though about which direction to turn the lock rings? I assume turning them to compress the spring is what will lower the car, correct?
  10. I've noticed there are threads on here that talk about lowering a Gallardo. I've read them, but I haven't seen one that says how many turns of the coil-over spring nut it takes to lower the car 3/4" from the factory setting. Furthermore, I want to verify, does turning the nut to compress the spring lower the car?
  11. Thanks for the tip. I'll do that today. Next I just need to know how many turns I need to do on the shocks to lower it the typical 3/4 inch.
  12. I have a 2007 gallardo nera. How do you check the e-gear fluid level? Looking at the manual it shows a picture of a capped reservoir somewhere. Does anyone know where this is?
  13. I didn't read all the post in here but to make this work without setting off a code is to pull the vacuum tube at the "T" junction and plug up the vacuum tube. Your exhaust will be constantly open and you will not throw a code. I have a 2007 Gallardo Nera and it works.
