  1. This whole damn mess reminds me of the silo series of books by Hough Howey...

That is some good stuff. Read it all, and also have read a few authorized (by Howey) continuations by other authors.

  2. http://www.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/us...-audio.cnn.html

Hmmmm. Guy claims a video chat he was doing at the time of the shooting recorded audio of the shots. Sounds like 6 shots, followed shortly thereafter by 4 more. Which does not seem at all consistent with what the police have been saying thus far, or with the officer's supposed version of events (1 shot fired as they struggled over the gun in the car, which didn't hit anyone, followed shortly thereafter by at least 6 shots as Brown allegedly rushed the officer). No idea if this audio is what they claim it is or what the hell actually happened at this point.

  3. screw the culture i never hang out with any of them.. the car with Z07 package will be bad ass. Forged Motor A8 running 10s on 93. with a tune should be a fun daily driver.

Not sure a tune or pulley is going to help much with the 1.8L blower, but I can see the first blower swap happening about 2 days after they're released.

  4. Haahaa no comment and no clue who this is. Acting or being in front of the camera is not easy…but whomever the main actor is needs some lessons if he wants to make this his profession.

He has a couple of Super Bowl rings but I don't think he's going to get any hardware for his acting. :icon_mrgreen: Not that the writing or casting is any better of course.

  5. Unlike homes there is no LEGAL recourse to disclose as far as I know. There may be a MORAL obligation but when $ is at stake, morals usually take the back burner.

In general I think that's right (although there could be state-specific disclosure requirements we don't know about), but the principle of buying a used car "as is" has a substantial basis on the notion that the buyer is free to inspect the car and presumably discover any defects. This involves hidden, potentially major damage only discovered through "significant disassembly," so a buyer has no realistic opportunity to find it, even with a thorough PPI. I can tell you if I bought this car and later found out what was wrong with it and that the seller knew about it but failed to disclose it, I would sue his ass off and take my chances, and I wouldn't want his side of the case with a judge or a jury.

  6. It's weird because I felt the same way before seeing the car in person, and for some reason I can't explain the yellow seemed to look a lot better than I thought it would. No doubt green would match up and yellow doesn't though.

  7. Speaking of green 650S's, a buddy picked this one up yesterday, and we went for a drive today. We've been trying to decide whether we like the yellow calipers, or whether he should have them painted/powdercoated green to match the paint. Thoughts? We both thought from the pics of the car before we saw it that green would be better, but after seeing the car in person the yellow actually doesn't look bad. Beautiful car. Looks especially good from the front as I both followed and lead it at different times.
