  1. This was a pretty interesting video to watch for 2 reasons.  First, we all heard the GT2RS & especially the Manthey Racing mods made it faster than the Performante around the Nurburgring.  What's curious is that in the hands of a professional racing driver, in this case Christian Gebhardt (Sport Auto Mag), the Performante seems to "leave" the GT2RS MR behind and it is especially obvious in the corners.  The GT2RS is fast and you can see how it closes the gaps point to point on the straightaways but then "falls" behind again. Is it all ALA or something else? Any other interesting observations from the footage?  One I noticed is how much steering input there is on the Performante and I recall seeing that on the SVJ record run as well.

  2. I agree. SV market continues to evolve.  the SV-R seems to be holding better but again, not at bottom of depreciation curve. The SVJ is a much much better car in driving dynamics, looks etc. That market is definitely on the move & as stated perviously, lots more of them were made.  By thought: Buy what you love--drive it and enjoy it. YOLO. If you're too focused on depreciation, there are way better investments for your $300-500k. Don't look at a car.

  3. Saw a few Huracan Evo’s being road tested in this video & noticed something peculiar on the bonnets of several that are covered. They seem like it’s the cars with Experienza stickers but not exclusively so. Take at look at 3:21 and after. Looks like some modified bonnet (life the aftermarkets ones out there). Is it just me?
Look at the bonnet of these cars from 3:23. Is it me or are they different. Watch several of them.

  4. Those codes are clearly not normal. I. just had a video on this (see below). My car is back & repaired. There should be no way that they replaced the sensors & relocated & the issue is back again.   If you car has been serviced, the campaign should have been done but maybe it is like my case where somehow it was missed. The issue is related to 2 sensors one for each bank that are located in a place where they can get too hot and basically puts the car into limp mode.  My Anniversary Aventador is back for relocation of the sensors and car is all good.

If they in fact replaced the sensor and they are bad again at 1000 miles, Lambo corporate needs to hear about this and the service you're getting. No BUENO!  Good luck man. Hope this gets solved quickly. Not a good feeling being without the use of your car.

  5. The telling piece is what they are planning between now and the intro of the Aventador replacement.  Still pretty vague but that is the REAL question isn't it (& when will we see the replacement).  The alignment question is still not settled (I get the sense Domenicali might not we all that comfy now answering to Porsche vs. Audi.  Anyone with other good articles or insights?  I've not seen anything from Porsche on the subject.

I get why, but I feel it's a real shame. I've been to GIMS every year since 2011 and I've seen cars like the Centenario, Veneno and special Ad Personam cars because of it. Cars of that caliber just do not make it to Sweden where I live, so I am out of luck now. Thanks Lambo !;)

I am with you on this. GIMS has been a pilgrimage for me too--too bad.

I am one to normally sound the alarm, but this move doesn't surprise me and I don't necessarily think it's a terrible idea.

Motor Shows are such a large expense I'm sure this boils down to a cost-saving procedure with a spin on it to appear as some sort of targeted marketing scheme.

At the end of the day, they are still going to do events and while the general public may not get as much exposure in the traditional sense, with social media and the plethora of cameras in everyday life, I think they'll weather this one just fine.

I too am not surprised but the rationale is somewhat shortsighted. How do you get the next generation connected other than paying a nominal fee to go see dream cars on display at say the NY International Autoshow or GIMS? It is definitely a delicate balancing act and increasingly, the cost of these show to manufacturers have made it hard to keep making the case for them to attend, so I get it. Post-COVID, its probably for the better anyway.

  7. I've been saying for quite some time--I would not be surprised if Mclaren goes under. The UK gov't has no interest in bailouts ATM esp. with Brexit & unfortunately Mclaren has built its exponential growth on the backs of its customers in a bit of an unorthodox way.  The chicken is now coming home to roost.  Reliability issues notwithstanding the performance of their cars remains a HUGE pain point and why I have not jumped into one of their cars. So unless some venture capitals or maybe the Chinese jump in, Mclaren is on very shaky ground and might be a COVID-19 complication related victim.  I'm not saying COVID caused this. I 'm saying it accelerated their cash flow problem.

  8. I had taken for a hot lap in the Urus. Honestly, there is a disconnect between my expectation and what this super SUV does.  It is INSANELY fast--faster than the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, faster than anything else I have driven in its category (stock of course). I am not sure how they did it but they have some sauce in the Urus for sure. My friends in Europe who have played with both the Urus and RSQ8 say the Urus still beats it--so although the Audi is a cheaper Urus look a like, performance wise, they are not comparable. One of my next daily driver was the RS6 Avant since driving a Lamborghini to work, well, probably wouldn't go over well. Audi is more under the radar.

  9. This is awesome. I fell in love with the Aventador the moment I saw it in its unfinished state.  In fact, it cause me to canceled my purchase of a 670 SV (which I still want). Proud owner of a 50th Anniversary Roadster that will remain in the collection. Thanks for putting this together. Let us know when the book is complete.
