  1. Tell me exactly which one you want and I will call him today. I could also just give you his number, pretty cool guy. You could also call Lawrence at Lussori in Carmel, met him this year and seems to be pretty competetive.
  2. I would assume if it is real, big if on the real part, that it is a deal. I am not sure, Aram will know, but I believe that the bezel should be worth close to that amount.
  3. Aram, love the long post man. I believe that both Oliver and I have a passion for the watches but lack the pocket book as of yet to acquire them. I like learing about them especially when it is from someone who has bought and owned them. I will be living vicariously through you for a few more years if you don't mind.
  4. AP is the way to go. I want one badly, just not in the cards for me anytime soon. As for the Breitling, you should be able to steal one of those from someone. We have a local guy here that will do some pretty good wheelin' and dealin' on those watches I believe.
  5. AP seems to be the one to buy in regards to holding value. One of my friends got the Cabinet Piece number 4 about 9 months ago and sold it making a pretty good profit. He just got the new AP Skeleton, just plain beautiful. What do you think of those pieces Aram? I also really like Lange and Sohne, just like Glashutte, they don't get a lot of recognition. The datograph is one of my favorites. :supz:
  6. too much money. They supposedly bring close to 10-15k. I am not there yet. The guy wanted 15k for the New Old Stock watch, just too much for me right now.
  7. Old POS?!?!? That is a Steve McQueen explorer man! It is worth a lot of money. It has the orange hand and it has not faded. I almost bought one of those out in Carmel this year from the store down the hill from Lussori. His was brand new old stock in the box with original papers. I really like that watch, it is a real keeper.
  8. what year is this watch? I might be intersted. Thanks.
  9. Im here, glad to hear its just a joke on your guys part. anyway today I met a diablo owner at the kfc drive through. Guy had his family in his diablo. You work at KFC and own a black benz, I'm impressed. I dont work there so you only internship there? What are you talking about?!?!? You said you saw some guy in a Diablo with his "family" in it. I am confused. no I hang out in the parking lot washing cars
  10. Interesting, I did not know that. And absolutely no offense on the pricing thing, I just can't imagine that they are that hard to get that they still command a huge premium. Glad people can get it though.
  11. Yeah, wouldn't step up to 3500 over sticker. I guess I will have to wait until someone will retail a new one to me. Very nice watch though, just the way I would have ordered it.
  12. One of my guys just bought the whole Schwarzenegger collection of AP watches. You should call him. He is one of the bigger AP dealers around. He got my client the AP cabinet piece number 4, 450k watch. Let me know if you need the number.
  13. How much, that is the one I have wanted. Let me know.
  14. Well then I did ok. Thanks for letting me know Styke. He actually gave me 2200 for it, or at least that is what he said. Do you think I did ok?
  15. Thank you so much for the link, I will probably use it to order those winders, I'm like you not aware to any difference. If you order one can you let me know what you think. I will get one if you like the quality and the way it works. Good find!
  16. I don't know how I actually did. No cash out of pocket though. I traded a no date Submariner and 2500 for the watch. It is perfect, no scratches, no issues. All box and papers tool and second rubberized band. Probably not the best deal, but got me out of a watch that I didn't want anymore, actually never wanted, and one that left a bad taste in my mouth for two years. I had only worn it probably ten times in 3 years. Now I am thinking I might have gotten hosed, might still buy the Regatta though.
  17. Just bought a nice watch. I got a PAM 90. I believe it is a similar watch to the PAM 222 just that it is not a Regatta edition nor does it have the round hour markers. I think I am still going to purchase a PAM222, might call around. We will see how this month goes. Anybody need a car
  18. Where are they my friend, I think I am in. Just shoot me a PM or email, I think I really want one. Stryke, what should I expect to pay? Can you get another one and do a similar deal?
  19. i'll most certainly keep you in mind but you have to know this up front, one of my big clients owns East Coast Jewelry so it would be tough for me to break that bond. He has sent me a lot of clients so he will always be my first call, but with you being a member of this board I will send you whatever he can't handle. If you have anything really hot though, big dollar stuff, shoot me an email as I have a guy that buys that stuff and if you have it and someone else does not maybe that will work.
  20. Yeah, I don't know how the winding mechanism works. I know it is a spring that is wound by the rotor that you see when you look through the case back. I have heard that you can easily overwind some of these watches and break them. Anyone know for sure.
  21. Or should I go for a used AP or the new entry level AP that is around 10k? I am trading my Submariner and have a gift certificate for 2500 bucks. That puts me at 5k plus a little bit of cash, what does that get me?
  22. I guess the question is this; do I really need one? Unless it harms the movement of the watch to not keep it wound then why not just set the time when you actually wear one? I don't know the answer to that part.
  23. Aram, do you happen to have one? If so what do you have?
  24. I am thinking about buying a watch. I am looking at a Panerai PAM 222 in either Titanium or steel. The both seem to retail for around 6 to 7k. I found a couple of them online but they all seem to be in Europe. What do you think I should pay? You seem to know the absolute most about this particular subject. It is a really cool watch and I have wanted a Panerai for a while.
