  1. I noticed there are 4 round rubber things along the sides of the car. Do you need a special jack? On the Porsche I just used a hockey puck but it's too big for this hole. Any ideas? I won't lie, I'm a little nervous working on this car. lol
  2. I'm about to jack the car up and switch the wheels to OEM. Is there anything special i need to know? Can I lift the front end up (to gain more clearance) and jack the car up or should i leave it low? Are there any special jackpoints? Anything special about the titanium lugs aside from the fact they are extremely expensive? thanks in advance!!!!
  3. Thanks Kevin. To think, I almost got an R8!!! I would have liked it for a few months and wished that I had gotten a Gallardo.
  4. Very nice! I've seen pics of your car before I love the verde ithica cailpers and I think you have the engine cover painted as well, right? I'm in Atlanta, looks like there will be 2 black SL's here soon! We'll have to get together, people will think they're seeing double I just sent you a PM.
  5. Nice, a video would have been priceless. This reminds me of when Top Gear did the SL versus Ducati only you won.
  6. that looks amazing, i love it from that angle!
  7. Actually I think it's 172 for N. America. So basically for the US The wheels are Modlular - 3 piece forged wheels. I'm putting them up for sale shortly. Here's a video of it coming off the truck. http://vimeo.com/6111617
  8. Yes it's the original wheel. You can get the leather and carbon fiber wheel as an option. I noticed most of the alcantara steering wheels overtime look very worn. You really need something solid to grip as you fly through the gears.
  9. thx for the comments guys. lol @ the wheels, everyone says to switch back to stock so I'm going to ride around for a little bit and put the OEM SL wheels on. 172 were produced, with 10 in white, 34 in grey, 37 in black, 45 in yellow and 46 in orange. I really like how the black stripe SL blends in on the black car. Very subtle.
  10. Thanks for the comments guys! I really appreciate it. I just got back from another drive and I love it more and more each time. Just turning the key and starting the car is something I look forward to each and every time. I have the OEM stock wheels & tires, these aftermarket wheels came with the car. I plan on putting the stock SL wheels back on so if someone wants these PM me and they're yours.
  11. I've been lurking here for a while and finally pulled the trigger. I got back from my first drive last night and was speechless. Physically, I'm still recovering from it all and my brain is trying to process the sound and speed. This is not a 997S (my previous car). Everything from the way it looks and sounds and drives, it's a pure exotic. Driving this car is an experience. Emotionally I can't even believe this is mine. I set a goal for myself when I was in college that by age 30 I would own a Ferrari. I'm a couple years early, and I went for a bull instead of a horse. I worked my butt off for every dime and for the first time I decided to really go all out and reward myself. I'm humbled by this experience and I won't even try to hide it. I can't believe it. Here are some pics. I'm getting a proper photoshoot done next weekend.
  12. congrats, white and Balloon white are my favorite colors on the Gallardo. let's see some more pics when u get a chance!

  14. congrats, that's a very unique color, I've never seen it in that shade of red before. I'm also on the hunt for a G.
  15. Does anyone know if this is still for sale? I'm on the hunt for an 06-07 Gallardo coupe/spyder in a 6 speed manual. Thanks
