I have a 07 E-Gear Gallardo, and I notice that when the car is cold with the windows up and music off after I left off the throttle coming to a stop light, there is a whining noise. It sounds like it can be the engine or transmission. Not the egear pump or intake sound. It gets better after the car is warmed up but doesn't fully go away. Any idea what that can be? The sound is best heard when I am coasting to a stop light.

I am running stock Callisto wheels. My shop recommended I go with 245/35/19 and 305/30/19 Is that a better setup then OEM size?

I do a lot of city driving, so preferably a tire that doesn't wear out as fast as the Pirelli Corsa's which I had on my Superleggera. I want a tire that has good grip since I do a lot of spirited backroad driving. What do you guys recommend? I was thinking the Pirelli Rosso's or Michelin Pilot Supersport.

Not sure what you can do, but I did hear of Car and Driver Magazine doing the same thing. I thought the shifter was made out of titanium

I am thinking about getting the EvoMS tune for my Gallardo. I have test pipes and the check engine light is consistently on which makes it annoying. I was wondering for those who have the tune, did you have to bring the car to get it dyno tuned, or do you just ship them the ECU?

I have this exhaust on my G, it's by far the best sounding exhaust I've heard to date! Much better then Larini, Tubi etc. Very similar sound to LOC!

A couple days ago, I was driving my 07 G and parked it for a few minutes. When I got in to start the engine, I notice that when the engine started, it sounded very weak. The rpms usually jump to 2k on the initial start and I notice this time it was only at 1k. The start sounded like the engine was running on 5 cylinders. I proceeded to move the car just 2 feet and I can tell the engine was not performing all the way. The engine felt sluggish and sounded very abnormal. I shut the engine off and restarted the car and this time it fired up perfectly and I was able to drive it. My car has no cats and aftermarket exhaust. What could be the problem?

Thats what I figured. If they could get that kind of HP, Lamborghini would've already done it in my opinion.

Ever since I got this car, I noticed there was something wrong with the ignition lock. When I put the key in, I notice that is has a hard time turning over to position 2. It feels as though there is something broken in the ignition lock, (not the steering wheel lock) It's been getting worst and worst lately. Has anyone ever had a problem like this before and any idea on the cost to replace?

Interesting, I will give this a shot. If I remember correctly it doesn't matter if the car is raised or lowered, it still makes the creaking noise.

My 07 Gallardo is out of Warranty and I was wondering if you guys know any aftermarket warranty companies that will take this car. Thanks

No I am not going over any bumps, just slowly driving (1-5mph). It can be heard with the windows up or down, sounds like it is coming from the steering collum. Yes the noise does occur in a standstill but not as bad as if the car was going 1-5mph

I noticed that on my 07 G when I am in a parking garage making low speed turns, it makes creaking noises. Sounds like something in the steering collum. Any idea what it is?

Back right side. I believe it's the overflow tube.

I looked at the bottom of my car today and noticed that the emergency coolant leak hose is dropping abnormally low. Like it's almost touching the ground. Is there a way I can adjust that or can I just cut some of it?

I was merging on the highway today in my 07 G and stepped on it. The cat light 1-5 came on for 5 seconds when the car was approaching redline. The car limited itself for a second when that light came on. It went away soon after but everytime in third gear, it comes on. I have fabspeed testpipes (no cats) and Fabspeed 70mm X pipe exhaust. Why would the car be doing that? I had Larini Testpipes and Larini Exhaust on my 08 SL and it never did that.

Sounds like your car blew an egear hose. My 07 did the same thing and oil was spewing out everywhere in the engine bay. Get the hoses replaced.

Hmm, I have no cats, just test pipes. I had test pipes on my SL, different muffler and it never made that sound.

Is the secondary air pump related to the vacuum line for the stock exhaust? I have egear and I know what the egear pump sounds like. Definitely not that.

On my 07 G, I noticed on a cold start, when I turn the key to position 2 there is a really loud fan noise, sounds like it could be coming from the intakes before the engine has even started? It lasts for about 5 seconds and then goes away. My 08 SL did not do that. My 07 has Fabspeed Cat bypass pipes and Fabspeed 70mm X pipe exhaust. I noticed when the exhaust was installed, all the vacuum lines for the stock exhaust was taken out of it. Any ideas whats going on?
