  1. The interior parts that feature materials such as leather and etc, be it for the Huracan or the Aventador or even the Urus are hand made by the factory (and when finished are taken to the assembly line). Application process and stitching is made by hand, it does not come from a "Sparco box". Both seat options are unique to the Huracan (comfort seats also known as "sofas".) and Lamborghini (sports seats shared between the models). The rest is correct.

Resale value wise HP is at an disadvantage at the moment compared to the 720S. Reason: Spyder (some owners are switching from Coupe to Spyder). 720S are doing resale wise similarly to the Performantes at the moment, you can get 10-20k off the sticker if you really try/have a good relationship with your respective dealer. The thing is depreciation for 720S will only increase once they do a Spyder. HP is already there, it won't drop that quickly going forward whereas 720S will, because people will be making a switch to the Spyders.

Long term wise one will go down in the history as one of the last N/A V10 engines ever produced, the other as one of many McLarens.

  2. In order for the ALA to work it must blow the bottom of the wing to stall it. Therefore the exit of the air must be from the underside of the wing. Your first photo shows again that the center section of the engine cover is without camo. I suspect something is going to be added here. Since it is directly in front of the intake for the ALA I am hopeful they will extend the intake all the way up the engine cover to the roof. #roofscoop!

Sharkfin has the same function as the wing on the Performante. You will notice that the underside of the SVJ wing doesn`t have any holes in it like the wing on the Performante does. Sharkfin is connected to the wing however and air comes through the underside of the Sharkfin.

Not sure if air is proceeded through the Sharkfin into the wing itself for more downforce though.

Something I forgot to highlight in my previous post, if you look under the brakelight there is a hole for potential air exit which benefits straight-line speed and it cools the new exhaust system at the same time (which covers two birds in one shot).

On the Performante, the entrance for rear ALA air intakes open with the engine cover:

It`s the same on the SVJ. There could be options for different engine covers, I don`t know since I don`t have the options list. The Roadster has a different engine cover.

  3. We know for sure one can remove the wing and keep the shark fin from other spy photos.

Instead of making a new post I`m going to drop it here:

ALA 2.0 (Not the official name, but that`s what I call it)

We have seen this part on the Performante, the front air intakes, air exits under the car.

Only one air intake at the rear (unlike Performante`s two) leading air into the sharkfin.

    Possible air exits.

  4. I think horsepower is quite important. Especially for the battle of who produces the last and the most powerful N/A V12 ever. SVJ will definitely be the last N/A V12 produced by a major supercar brand, but I doubt Lamborghini will want to give up the "most powerful" part to Ferrari. Goal to beat is 789bhp. Whatever comes after 812 will be a hybrid. Same goes for Lamborghini, whatever comes after SVJ will be a hybrid too.

  5. The 720S beats the H, as a matter of fact the 675LT even beats the H car both the 675LY and the 720S cars are just insanely fast.

I have over 4K on my 675LT and it has become one of my favorite cars of all times.

However the Lamborghini and the McLaren are just two totally different style and driving machines, They both have the strengths and their short comings. Not fair to JUDGE just on a straight line for a few seconds.,

I had Huracan vs Demon in mind, Brooks already did 720S vs Huracan.

  6. If it makes someone feel better, they put Centenario around a track multiple times when journalists drove it.

In reality it`s barely faster than an SV.

As for this, well don`t underestimate it. As said before, it`s quite a big deal. Also as Fortis said somewhere above, possibly the last pure N/A V12 Lambo ever.

    Here you go:

TG, Motor Trend and many others took Centenario for a spin around the track.

  7. I agree completely - my only thought here is that they plan on having the first cars ready to sell days after it's introduced at Pebble. Makes you wonder if they are rushing that quickly - maybe the AV successor is coming sooner than we think?

Is Pebble public announcement for it, as in everyone gets to see it or is it a private showcase? My info might be outdated, but I heard they were planning around 300 Coupes and around 200 Roadsters. As far as public debut I was told Fall 2018, so I assumed October at Paris Motorshow.

Aventador replacement is at least 2 years off. My bet would be 2020 Geneva.

  8. Hardtop Spyders from McLaren and Ferrari weigh around 88 pounds (40 kg) over the coupes compared to Lamborghini's soft tops that weigh 275 pounds (125 kg, thanks for correction Lambocars) over the coupes.

Softtops are heavier in this day and age. Latest example is 570 Spider, it weights 101 pounds (46 kg) over the Coupe.
