  1. Nothing on the new guy, but Reggiani was perfect for that position. Litteraly one of the greats at Lamborghini.
  2. That's the same. A taste: https://www.instagram.com/p/CScn6MRh6Zb/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  3. Yes, and they should have stuck with it being a concept, like the Miura from years ago... But no resurrecting Countach name for a limited production car that only shares design elements with the original. Key specs that I know of: Sian based, hybrid. LPI designated. (yes, they are now doing cars from already limited edition cars.) 800 hp combined AWD Price is north of $3 million. Ps: There is also a cool Countach cruise organized from August 10th to 14th or 15th by Lamborghini in California. Apperantly the cruise is limited to 30 cars, but there will be some other Lamborghini models following those 30 Countaches.
  4. They did it right with the Gallardo at least, Squadra Corse was a parts bin special, yet it was the most extreme Gallardo you could buy. This parts bin special is an afterthought, nothing about it is special. Won't be surprised if it ends up like the McLaren Elva, where production numbers have to be cut. I see them hardly selling those 600 cars to anyone.
  5. Bugatti will either succeed or go bankrupt, like it has before. We will see once the Chiron production is finished.
  6. And we now know the date.
  7. No update on the GT3? It will be interesting if the next Huracan version will take inspiration from this...
  8. What happened to the cool engine cover from the green prototype? Or was that the base for the Countach Homage?
  9. Check the STO thread. It's a full lap record attempt incoming, but it will only be published if they beat the Black Series, by a good margin.
  10. This will be interesting.
  11. More or less a Super GT similar to 812SF.
  12. Countach Homage and Aventador Evo. Release/production for both of them is 2021 and 2022 respectively. Hybridized Aventador replacement is coming in 2023. Aventador will be joining Countach as one of the longest produced Lamborghini V12 flagship.
  13. In other words nothing new and pretty much a pointless presentation. The only funny part about this was when he was talking about SQ department, they showed a Huracan GT3 passing a 488 GT3 when talking about racing successes, suggesting Lamborghini was surpassing Ferrari in that area these days. Otherwise the PR speech was full of lies, considering that right now, McLaren and Ferrari are making supercars that are benchmark in terms of performance. (765LT / SF90 Stradale) This presentation also confirms that the Aventador replacement is only coming in 2023...
  14. Future, as in another Aventador-based special.
  15. One of them is certainly this. Miura is turning 55 years old this year. The first Countach prototype was presented in 1971, 50 years ago. Diablo had a 30th anniversary last year. Murcielago is 20 years old this year. Aventador itself is 10 years old this year. So place your bets.
  16. Despite the pandemic, Lamborghini had quite a recordbreaking year. Especially when compared to the competition.
  17. Lamborghini isn't getting sold off, like the rumors reported. https://www.motor1.com/news/460287/lamborghini-ducati-no-sale-bentley/
  18. It's pattened by Lamborghini, other brands would need to pay for the use of it. It's similar with Forged Composites/Forged carbon fiber that Lamborghini pioneered, you don't see McLaren or Ferrari brag about it, since Lamborghini has also pattened it. However, in McLaren's and Aston Martin's case they still use it. ALA isn't purely a marketing gimmick. Hydraulics actually add weight when compared to the minimalistic ALA system. It does the job just as well as those say active wings and flaps. BUT those hydraulic wings and etc. also work better at lower speeds when compared to ALA. You need speed in order for it to actually work.
  19. In terms of looks I agree, but in terms of performance and driving feel, the SC is a whole level ahead of the STS. It's more raw, stiffer suspension and feels faster. It is essentially a perfected STS for track use. Outside of STS and SQs, the Valentino Balboni editions have had a better market value compared to every other model and edition of Gallardo, especially the manual ones. I hope the same as you regarding no more Aventador special editions, but there is a high possibility for the Aventador's parts bin being emptied lol, essentially under Winkelmann .
  20. Just a correction, but the last edition of Gallardo was the Squadra Corse, which was a track special. I'm still sticking to that particular prototype being a customer one-off or a test mule for the next V12, until of course proven otherwise. It doesn't make much sense for Lamborghini to do more special editions of the V12 considering that not all of the SVJs, both coupe and roadster are built. From what I heard what has been stated in the press is that the Xago edition will be a part of those 800 cars. They have still over half a year worth of work just there. 1 or 2 Sians have been delivered, but those were the most tame ones in terms of spec. Sians are custom made and the crazy ones will take a long time to make. SCV12 is a separate beast that not even the Aventador's replacement or any hot version of it will be able to match on track. It's a literal racecar. But then again, we know who came back to the CEO position, so it won't be a surprise to see an Aventador Le Finale or something along those lines right before the Aventador replacement arrives.
  21. I mean this isn't news as it has been confirmed at least 50 times now by multiple people at Lamborghini. Aventador's replacement will be aimed at SF90 Stradale, there is no doubt in that considering that the Aventador SVJ almost costs the same speced up. They will try to top that car and make the Aventador's replacement more desirable than it with that N/A V12. But the replacement being out next year? No way that happens. It's a 2022 model or even later. They are however far ahead with it, so we should see some test mules in 2021.
  22. I told you so way, way back. Now here is the official news.
