  2. If the ALA display is a hint there is going to be a Y pattern on the rear cover as part of the standard livery. The side intake will have a CF leading edge as well.
  3. I'm personally not a fan of glossy forged carbon. It reminds me of a Formica countertop from the 80s. The kind you picked to match up with your black cultured marble 10 person hot tub LOL. The matte finish is a little easier on the eyes since the light and dark bits blend together better with less contrast. But it still looks like it has water stains.
  4. It won't be over 800hp. It will be pretty close to 800. Looking forward to the unveiling at the Quail and, as others have pointed out, spec'ing the car with Ad Personum who will be on site.
  5. The really interesting part is the Cx graph under the car. At 332kph none of the bars are lit. Cx is drag coefficient. The new ALA vents on the top of the nose vent air upwards in front of the hood. What this does is it forces the air stream to deflect far ahead of the car instead of being deflected by the hood. This effectively reduces the frontal area of the car which reduces drag and increases top speed.
  6. You and I think alike LOL. I was examining that ALA pic myself and comparing to the detail shown for the Performante on its dash. The Performante shows a surprising amount of detail for a small pic like the stripe.
  7. With the Performante they said the time was going to be awesome but did not state any numbers. We now know that Porsche won't allow Lamborghini to retake the Ring record unless they can immediately beat it. Porsche does not have a new RS model in the pipeline so it is unlikely the SVJ will officially set a new record.
  8. I may have one spare ticket available. Will know in about a week.
  9. You mean this one? I have heard there are likely several one-off projects.
  10. I have some mods I'd like done for purely cosmetic reasons. I wonder if they would make them as a one off?
  11. I must have made an impression over here because two other local guys ordered Verde Themis Performantes as well. Calgary is now the Verde Themis capital of the world! Assuming I get an allocation, it will be fun to compare specs. Every design has certain colors that look the best IMO, so I will be mentally shortlisting the colors as soon as the car is shown.
  12. Yes, let's meet up. My deposit has been down since Sept. Let's try not to order the same color on the SVJ LOL
  13. I'll be at car week as usual and at The Quail. I'm bringing my F50 this year again. I might display it at The Quail. I'm looking forward to the SVJ unveiling.
  14. There are some 1 of 1 cars being worked on. I don't know if they have any basis on the SVJ. Unlikely since they are bespoke creations.
  15. I agree with you that it doesn't look great. I asked the factory to paint all the parts gloss black on my Performante. They took 2 months to think about it and then told me no. They want people to see it and associate it with Lamborghini.
  16. Yes. There is no other way to make hollow parts like this in one piece without casting it with forged carbon.
  17. Thanks! If it isn't offered by Lamborghini (even as an option) you know one of the tuners will be all over it. I would love to put a roof scoop and dorsal fin on this monster similar to the Super Trofeo Evo
  18. I'm not so sure that there aren't vent holes at the bottom of the wing on the SVJ. I went back and looked at old spy shots of the Performante and you can't really see the holes even when you know they are there. The slots are really far forward on the wing and it's not that easy to see them from the rear. The vent holes for the ALA have to be in the bottom of the wing. The downforce for a wing is created from the bottom surface via the upward deflection of the air as it leaves the wing. That upward deflection of air pushes the wing down. The vent holes on the bottom disrupt the air and prevent the air from attaching to the rear part of the wing that deflects the air upwards thereby stalling the wing and eliminating all of the downforce. The intake to the SVJ shark fin is really wide. The shark fin itself is quite fat and I suppose it is divided into two halves internally so there is a left and a right side to the airflow inside the wing like the Performante.
  19. In order for the ALA to work it must blow the bottom of the wing to stall it. Therefore the exit of the air must be from the underside of the wing. Your first photo shows again that the center section of the engine cover is without camo. I suspect something is going to be added here. Since it is directly in front of the intake for the ALA I am hopeful they will extend the intake all the way up the engine cover to the roof. #roofscoop!
