  1. Definitely the laptop Jerry! Great job Kevin/Kc. Glad to see you putting all those driving skills I taught you to good use! Kyle
  2. Vegasgtr, now that UR is "that" close to an 8 sec pass, anything else is not worth posting really. BUT, chances are, you've already seen the video....you just didn't know it! MPH and ET weren't really made public, because as Kevin said, it just wasn't quite there yet. Soon tho. http://www.youtube.com/user/TTGallardo2006#p/u/7/d1ecHCY3nm8 Kyle
  3. UGR is simply what Underground has been referred to by the public in the early stages of their work before they started being well known, but they themselves go by UR. Their printed material is UR, logo, shirts, website, etc. I am as long a UR TTG owner as they get. Their shop is impressive, but the commitment to their customers and continually striving for the absolute best is what I appreciate about them. As most of you have seen, Kevin of UR, is ademant about their reputation, many times to a fault. That is looked upon by some as annoying or even childish, but it's simply a passion for being the best and striving to protect what they've built. Their work speaks for itself, along w/ their accomplishments. Many here could give a rats about how fast you can go in a mile, or how quick you can cover the 1/4 mile, but it's by putting things to the test that advancements are made. If a customer is more into road courses, I would think a simple bolt on w/ mild boost would be better than a full blown build, but most customers I have seen are like me and love to drive these cars on the street. Since they are AWD, they handle 1,000whp quite well and nothing I've owned comes close to the thrill of how the power is delivered. I have 4 other cars w/ over 1,000rwhp and as fun as they are, the TTG is by far my favorite. Sorry to post about TTG's and stuff in the midst of what this thread has become. Kyle
  4. I definitely feel the post should only be about personal experiences w/ people's own car and not what their friend experienced, what they heard, etc. If it's done in the manner the thread was designed for, there would be ZERO pissing, name calling, misinformation, etc., as the post would only be about that persons car and that persons experience w/ it. Most customers are going to be fans of their tuner, especially since they dropped a good chunk of money w/ them and anything less would somewhat cast themselves in a negative light for ever picking them to begin with and possibly strain a relationship. For that reason, since getting many negative comments could be a challenge, people can look at the number of positive ones as a way of gauging a tuner's capabilities, service, and quality. Kyle
  5. I really didn't take it as that. It seems like a legitimate thread, especially for those interested in TT'ing their car, to see what others have experienced and who they've experienced it with. It's only the ones that don't have first hand experience w/ a TTG that have added any "gibberish", and the thread doesn't seem to be geared towards hearing from them anyway. What has your experience w/ a TTG been like? Kyle
  6. I own UR TTG #1. UR had never touched a Lambo before I sent them my car. I did have experience w/ them w/ 2 very high hp TTVipers, so I was confident of what they'd provide. What they delivered was amazing. Since it was TTG #1, many things were learned along the way. We learned the limits of the stock tranny, stock gearing, stock axles, stock throttle bodies, stock head studs, etc., all while testing the car at the drag strip. Although the stock 06 clutch held up to the drag strip abuse, a Tilton was made to cure a soon-to-be issue at the power level we were now running at. We immediately put the first TTG into the 9's at the drag strip from the very beginning of racing it. Things stayed like they were for a while after that and I simply began enjoying the car on the street. Then, after a few other customer builds and UR building their own TTG, I started to see my car had even more potential in it (my original rwhp figure of 1,026 wasn't looking as impressive anymore)! Although the "look" of their builds has never changed, advancements have been made along the way by applying what was learned at the track to the cars. They had started using MoTeC's in some of the cars, re-geared a couple for higher mph (which a side advantage is perfect gearing for the street as well w/ tt's), and had experimented w/ some different turbo sizes. The Texas Mile of Oct., 2009 was approaching and we (UR and a couple customers) wanted to make a showing and put these cars to a different test. I decided to compete, so I sent my car back to UR to have all those new "tweaks" done to it. We upgraded the AEM to a MoTeC, installed a built tranny, L19 head studs, upgraded throttle bodies, different turbos, and a few other tweaks. I was THRILLED w/ the outcome! My first pass to get a feel for things was 217 mph. Then, we pulled and inspected the plugs, turned up the boost, and I ran a 231. Later that same day we turned it up a bit more and I ran 238 (and I missed a gear...damit). I wanted another crack at it as our goal was 240, which would put us into "elite" status at the mile, something only the race-prepped Supras were able to accomplish at the time. The next morning I got my chance. We didn't mess w/ anything as the car had performed flawlessly during the entire event. I somewhat babied the start and concentrated on hitting my shifts smooth and ran a 241.7. We did it! The car was running top-notch. I would have ran again but I would have missed my flight back to Tennessee so I stopped there. The car was returned home, after UR had changed the oil and checked out everything to ensure all was good. I got it back home and it was still set on the same boost level as it was for that run. The car is driven on the street 100% now, in the EXACT SAME trim as that event...same wheels, same tires, same everything....just slightly lower boost for the street, but not much! I can't say enough about how well this car has performed, both on the street and at the track. It has been a thrill from day one. The car has never leaked one drop of anything, which is amazing for a car pushing over 1,500rwhp (then again, my TTVipers don't either). How many miles a car like this will last has been brought up. I, like most, do not put many miles on my cars. I have several to drive, so it's not driven a whole lot. All I care about is when it's called upon, it delivers. It has, and continues to do so! Kyle
  7. It all depends on what your "purpose" is. Fortunately, for all of us, we do not all share the same one. Kyle
  8. Doesn't mean 1,000 is the limit. That is what this car is set at. Kyle
  9. Great car(s) Ray. Happy to see UR deliver what you were looking for. Kyle
  10. I've got an OC (Orange County) exhaust system for sale if you're interested. I can post a pic. Definitely had power and throttle response improvements I could feel. LOVE the sound of them. Only has about 50-100 miles on it as I decided to TT it right after installing the exhaust. Came off an 06. Kyle
  11. I've had 6 sets of Iforged wheels. 4 of them have had issues. Not holding air and not being truely round are the main ones. If you put a set of Iforged next to a comparable set of HRE (similar wheel style), you will see a HUGE visible difference in quality. Then there's the quality you can't see. After going w/ HRE, I'll never own another set of Iforged. Yes, they are more expensive, but consider what you are putting them on. The saying, "you get what you pay for" almost always holds true. The top Lambo and Supra contenders in mile racing all run HRE's. I'd be extra nervous to run Iforged at those speeds after my experience w/ them. Kyle
  12. I've got Toyo R888's on the rear of mine. BIG, BIG difference over PS2's. They grip like crazy. I have had mine on the rear for about 1K miles and absolutely not one nick or chip in the paint from things being kicked up by the tires. It is lowered though too which will help. I agree w/ VBOXKING, the engine/exhaust makes the tire noise disappear.
