  1. This is the one that was owned by the guy who defrauded a bunch of people and stole a lot of money and got fake loans and stuff right?

No, not this one. This one came from a Family collection out of Utah to me. I then sold it to a Doctor in Texas. He in turn traded it to Bret in Miami for a 13 Aventador...of course that was a BAD move, since the SV held its value as well as going up, and the Aventador has just kept going down. His 13 Aventador is worth way less then the SV currently...AND not no where near as fun to drive...

  2. Congrats on the SV Plastique! That car is definitely on my bucket list! Is this by chance the car that Roy used to have 2 years ago? I saw one just like it there in person and photos just don't do it justice! Definitely a beautiful car. Can't wait to read more about your experiences with it. Enjoy in good health!

Yes, it is. Great car. I provided him with all the history, as well as the window sticker I had when the car was in my possession, I am glad he got what he wanted.

  3. I am sorry but I find that very hard to believe, unless the factory pulled the car in for a very comprehensive inspection after the repairs they wouldn't know and even if they did they have no place or authority in calling a used car "not roadworthy".

    Sorry, but he is right.....

I know of at least TWO other cars, here int he USA, that the factory has "branded" in their portal Computer system. Calling them 'Un-serviceable" and "NOT road safe".

I for one think it is a good thing. THEY are doing it to limit their liable exposure. After all if they sell or service a car that has a major accident, they could be hauled into court down the road if something happens.

Same thing in my business, for the most part we will not sell Carfax or Auto-check DING cars, Salvage title cars, re-built title cars as well as heavily modified cars...just to much liability to trade in cars that have a GREATER risk of incident and failure in the future due to their past.

  4. I was at the factory for the launch and both wing options were mentioned

... but they never said you could have manual

and I asked for a custom colour and was told absolutely no chance

iirc that was in October, my car was due to turn up in London in May and about I week before it arrived I was driving along and I see this Middle Eastern SV in a custom silver - to say I was pissed off was an understatement as I really wanted the car in blue

I wonder if things/options may have been different for US cars and Euro cars?

I do know for a fact you could not get the racing 4 point SV belts in the US cars.

I had a friend order a set for his Euro car in Italy...then he shipped them to me stateside.

Still have never installed them. Thought they were cool so I got them.

Still wrapped up in the factory plastic bags.

  5. Interesting story... I was invited to the LP670 SV unveiling (they had a model of the car) back in 2008 and that was my first time meeting Stephan Winkleman. They listed both wing options (personally I love the crazy look of the big wing more) and I asked them about a manual option for the car. They said to reserve an E-gear order the cost was $50k deposit, for a manual the cost would be $100k deposit. I wonder why they gave you such a hassle...they even offered the 6-speed at $10k less than the E-gear to me at the time. Naturally my only question to them was "Does it come in Monterey Blue?" and they told me I would have to go Ad Personam for it and it'd probably be another $15k, which is funny that my friend actually wound up ordering the only Monterey Blue LP670 in the US before deciding not to take delivery of the car, and then through a chain of events it wound up at your shop and as your forum avatar picture :icon_mrgreen:

Always great to see Balboni thrashing a Lambo about! Thanks for sharing the vid Plastique999!

Interesting...maybe they changed their minds between 08 and 09...the one thing I have come to learn about Lamborghini..is there are NO two things the same and NOTHING is stone solid in writing that cant be changed.

  6. The Murci VB driven here in this video is a first gen Murci converted, NOT REAL LP670 SV :eusa_naughty:

Excellent catch...boy someone spent a lot of money to get to the SV look,..but the telling key looking at it closely is the Dash. Its all leather. The SV dash his half and half leather and alcantera

It almost fooled me till I looked at it twice...

  7. Will be looking forward to checking back in a year or so. I'll take the over ;)

In fact, I'll take $650+ within 5 yrs, Alex 😁

Here's a nice vid comparing the 2 aesthetics

I am sure I am a little BIAS...but after looking at this AND hearing the difference..its the SV...!!

The White SV is the OTHER 6 speed that I sold to the owner down in the bay area...you can also hear the exhaust baffles are open..I do that to all my SV cars and 640 cars...sounds fantastic.

  8. What a frickin cool story!!

Balboni is such an ambassador for the heart of Lamborghini.

I always see him at Concorso Italiano or Italian Stampede and he is always all smiles and so friendly, humble as you say with a magnetic personality.

So is the matte blue factory paint? Love that color

Yes it was, that car was a Euro version factory test car. I do not know what happened to it. I not even sure if it ever made it to a retail sale and into private hands. There were TWO SV test cars that were totaled in various incidents/accidents. I know what one was VI, but not sure what the other one was, if it was this one or not.

  9. In early 2009 I was privileged to see the SV prototype at the factory in Italy. The one I saw had a big wing, big sticker and was an e gear. They said there was NO option to get a gated 6 speed. Later that day I had lunch in town with my friend Mr VB. He told me that I should order one right away, BUT, get it with a 'Small-Speed wing"..I didn't even know it came that way or you could get it, we didn't see it at the factory, nor did they mention this option. He then told me to get the 6 speed as well. I told him they (factory) told us NO 6 speeds for the car. He said, in an Italian way..BS...push them and they will.

When I got back to the states in March of 09, I placed my order with my NEW LAMBO Dealer for the car. When I told him I wanted the 'Small Wing", he said I dont see it on the order form...he had the same answer when I said I wanted the gated 6 speed..and added that he KNEW you could not get it with a 6 speed. I shared what Mr VB told me.

Well we went back and forth with the factory..after a few e mail exchanges, yes the speed wing was going to be on the car. (turns out it was standard and no extra $14k up charge like the big wing)..BUT NO WAY was it to get a 6 speed gated..I held strong and said if there was no 6 speed I would not order the car. After a few days back and forth again...they said "OK, you get a 6 speed....but NO $10K discount off for no E GEAR..same price" I jumped on it. They even gave me car plaque #12 to match my Diablo 6.0SE #12. I took delivery of it in the USA in late July 2009. It was the FIRST NON Factory press car int he USA to a retail customer.

If it was not for MR VB telling me to push them...it may never have happened. I see him multiple times a year now...and he always ask me if I still have the car. I say yes, he says GOOD never sell it, the BEST V12 Lamborghini made before they but the engine to sleep for the new one in the AVENT...

  10. Roy's prediction was right

    WOW, how time flys.

I think I was a little "under estimate". No SV can now be had for $400K...try more like $450K plus.....and still on the rise. There are a few for sale, but they have stories attached to them...I cant understand why anyone would pay this kind of money and NOT get the best of the best. I know someone that did recently get one of the best ones out there...congrats..you KNOW who you are...LOL

As for me, I have my #12, NOT for sale, I sad it back in 2014 and I say it again, NOT FOR SALE.

I have the ONE of ONE low mile MINT condition Silver car, DANG IT IS STUNNING! I have yet to list it, to be quite honest, not sure I want to let it go. I look at it everyday in my shop and just say to myself, DANG your beautiful. I have nite mares that some old lady T-Bones me in My #12...then what, I cant find another one...so thats why I am no rush to part with it. I have driven probably MORE SV cars then anyone in the USA> I can say they ALL drive different. This Silver one is the ONLY one other then my #12 car, that the moment I drove it I KNEW it was a special one like my #12, yes it is that FAST...AND AS others have said here....I have no worries it will just hang right there with a Vent...AND be more fun at the same time..PERIOD>

So I guess, we can look back on this in another 2 years...and we will say, could have got an SV for $450K...but know they are $550K plus...lets see.

  11. I can NEVER get tired of my ONE of ONLY TWO LP670-4SV 6 speed/gated cars left on the US roads. Car #12 of only 186 made world wide and only 42 to US Soil. I have the SMALL SPEED wing. I De-badged it, removed the SV decals. Just smooth as fresh snow in its Bianco Isis color. A 1 of only 1 in this color and configuration ....WORLD WIDE. I took delivery of it NEW in late July of 2009. Now as it just passed 25,000 TOTAL TROUBLE free miles, still on its ORIGINAL clutch...I could not be happier. We near Oct 1st, when it's Corssa tires are removed and replaced with the Winter Snow tires. Where will it take me this winter?? Where ever it is, it will be a total joy to get there in SV #12! Which also happens to be the 12th Man logo here in Seattle for our Seattle Seahawks.

Please enjoy your cars!!! You never know when the time comes that you can't enjoy any longer!

  12. It could of easily been someone else that just wrote something up and submitted that statement.

I agree, it very well could be...I as well, find it hard to believe someone would make a negative statement like this about a accident that just occurred....the PLUS is no one was injured...

Cars can be replaced, people not so much

  13. Roy do you know the current count for SVs in the US?

    According to my records.

Counting the USA cars that have been exported OUT of the USA..

AND this latest accident one, (who knows if it will be back on the road)??

I show a total of 29 REAL SV cars still on the roads in USA.

I am NOT counting the Salvage title OR accident ones that have been repaired and put back on the road, nor the White one that was the Florida interior flooded car....only the NO story SV cars that remain.

  14. Just found this posted on wreckedexotics.com under the picture of his car....someone lead me to the site..

    Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SV

    Westlake Village, CA

Was kinda driving like an idiot all morning near the Piazza Gran Turismo event in Westlake Village even though they had signs up about driving slow and not revving. They turned my car away at the gate and so I went and parked somewhere else. Then the police approached me in the parking lot at the event to discuss my antics and so I played that off and decided to leave. About a mile down the road, in a moment that lacked judgement and talent, I spun the car into the curb trying to look cool. Not so cool anymore... :-\ PS: Thankfully my precious dog Murcie who was rolling with me was okay.

  15. Yea right!

Everyone has a price, and kids never want their dad's old car, LOL!

Good job working it though like a true car salesman! :icon_thumleft:

Well see, your wrong in this statement 3 total times

    1) I do not have a price at all...when something CANT be replaced, at my age you keep it and enjoy...specifically when you sure as hell don't need the money.

    2) Actually my Daughter drives it quite often, including has on several rally's...she has stated firs dibs on it.

    3) I am not now, nor ever have been a car "salesman"...I am a lover of the Lambo brand and have just been lucky as hell to play with these since my retirement...its all in pleasure, not for need.

  16. That's a good question. I would say that since this car is well over $500K retail, someone will end up rebuilding it even if the insurance writes it off and it ends up on somehwere like CoParts. Dr Murci perhaps?

They have fixed worse looking wrecks of lesser Murci's.

What are the final 2 worth now? $750K, $1M?

Well, better to ask..what is the ONE thats left worth....as mine never has been and never will be for sale, so it does not matter....my kids can decide what to do with it after I am 6 feet under.

  17. Guy almost killed me once, it is only a matter of time before he does kill someone. I don't really care that much about the car, I just care that this dude is piling up wrecked exotics at a furious pace, and eventually the odds aren't going to be in his favor when he piles up the next one.

I have to agree with this....he totaled a car on the Gold Rush Rally, drove like an idiot on it a few times as well....I for one would not be on ANY RALLY that he is in..just not worth the risk of your life. It will be interesting to see what he is cited/charge with/for on this last one car self caused accident. Not the first, and probably wont be the last....I guess $$$ does not buy driving skills. I am just gl;ad no innocent by standers were injured...would just put another black face/mark on us exotic car owners.
