  1. I am open. Has a stick in my G. Drove an wheat Murci and I liked it.
  2. Sold my Gallardo a few months ago and want to get into a Murci. Planning to go up to Canada to view this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lamborghini-Murcie...em=252520576400 I had 56k on my G when I sold it and never any engine issues (133k on my V-10 Audi S8 and counting...). Is the Murci as reliable as the V-10s? My gut feeling and some research says no, but OK at that mileage. Any input? Thanks Anders
  3. I am taking a drive to Chicago this Friday with G/F. My car has been unused for too long, so up for a short road trip. What is goig on in Chicago Friday - Sunday? Arts? Beats? Eats? Thx, Anders
  4. I just installed my V1 at the rear view mirror. I was looking at a remote location, in the front/rear grilles, with remote UI but that would compromise the situational awareness the V1 provides with the arrows and counters. I have two Escort radar/laser/blinders remotes in my V3tt3, and there are some benefits and some compromises... I soldered in for power from the rearview mirror (Blue for ground and brown for power when ignition is on) and mounted just next to it. Location: Electrical: FWIW...
  5. So I am not the only one... My battery have been gradually depleted the last few weeks, which I thought was due to nit holding charge in lower temperatures. I just replaced it today, being fed up with jump starting it all the time. Picked up a yellow top from Autozone and 30 minutes worth of wrenching. The reason The job took some time for my is the location of a five channel amp in the bottom of the tub, and a bunch of signal and power wires going to it. Otherwise, it was really easy access and work. First time working on my car, I was curious to see the layout in the compartment, and it seems like everything is easy to work on. Pumps, fans, ballasts, etc, easy accessible. Is it in general easy to work on the G?
  6. Yeah. Something childish, innocent fun about it...
  7. On my way to Naias charity preview. A little bit snow left....
  8. My G is not equipped with TPMs. I have used Johnson Controls OEM in the past as add-ons, with a rear view mirror UI. Any possibility to add a Lambo/Audi set and enable S/W to recognize and display or do I require an all-out aftermarket system? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance, Anders
  9. I have a blown v3tt3 in the garage (edits pos if I don't use numerals) Plastic mess-06, 2004, and it is quite a bit faster than my G. Great bang for the buck. Straight line performance is not bad at all in the G, but not really the reason, I love driving it. There are so many other reasons...but for your comment above. Case in point and one step further extrapolation: get a $ 25,000 C5 add a blower and you outrun the Plastic mess-R1... Add some brake hardware, tires and you outcorner, and brake like a 120k Plastic mess-R1. Yes, they are great bang for the buck... Still prefer the G...
  10. Quite a few Lambos on the west side of the state? A few reported in on the other forum too from GR. New Years was a little bit too messy for me to drive so seems this weekend. I'll take it to the NAIAS at Cobo on Friday and Kid Rock on Saturday though, pending weather cooperation...
  11. I have been driving several times weekly, up until we enjoyed the Indian summer in Michigan last week. The snow/ice melting messed the roads up and paradoxically (to enjoying driving in snow) I have no interest in driving on wet/dirty/messy roads. Anyway; I am really impressed with the all wheel drive system. Granted, my stock tires are far from optimum for winter driving, although I am getting decent friction for acceleration, deceleration and cornering. As long as I pamper the gearbox/engine the first 15 minutes, and wait for all fluids to warm up, all mechanical systems seem to be doing great. My POS would have gotten stuck quite a few times, whereas the G just negotiates the snow very well. The experience is also made somewhat more enjoyable by the fact that fellow motorist think I might be crazy or at least excentric driving this car during the winter. Anyone up for a winter cruise in SE Michigan?
  12. Since it is new for me, I have been driving every day lately. Love people's reaction in traffic, in snow.... Spring is only three months out....
