  1. Actually I'm now half way on my trip to Italy... couldn't take the LM with me ... break problems as well... wouldn't be safe to take it out now... too bad... will definately make the trip to Italy with the LM one day... anyway the rest of the family is happy we're now traveling in the ice cold Merc.... instead of the LM Sauna...
  2. This thing is heavy... No weight saving program for the LM as it seems ... Harrison: model 1131466 Same model also used on: Fort Brougham: 83-85 Country Squire: 81-86 Lincoln Continental Givenchy: 87 Lincoln town car Cartier+Signature: 87-88 Mercury Marquis Brougham: 81-82 Mercury Zephyr GS+Z7: 83 Found the AC compressor for these cars but the connections seem to differ to the one for the LM. Maybe to have it rebuilt is the only way to move forward...only that will take 4 weeks... next week in Italy will be scorching hot I guess... But hey, arriving at the factory in my very own Lambo will surely make up for it...
  3. After a refill the A/C pump of my LM gave up.. It's possible to get it refurbished but hat will take a month... I know it's a GM part but don't have the part number. Any input on that one ? Next question will be on which cars was this same A/C pump used ? This will make it easier for me to find the same or similar part that will fit. I'm planning to take the car with me to Italy next week. One week holiday in Tuscany and of course a factory visit will be included... With 31 degrees Celcius the A/C will be handy I guess...
  4. Delivery delayed until after the weekend... Can't wait that long......
  5. Thanks No No No Sure thing
  6. Thanks for the thumbs up !! Next addition to the garage is on its way.. not one of the cars you mentioned But it's a Lambo so should be OK right ?
  7. A little bit too much of everything for me... No cohesion in the various parts of the car... seems they borrowed some details from various other designs... SLR.. R8... Porsche...
  8. Amazing car... you've gotta love black on a Diablo... Congrats !!
  9. Working for me as well... some NWS material in between but eventually pics show up fine... BTW That's one gorgeous car !!!
  10. I was told "pussi" means bag in Danish... so how do you order a bag with bread or big bag with chips....
  11. How can you ever be taken serious after you design a brandname or packaging like this..... (Ayds seems to be an old trademark so lets forgive them... turn down a turnover...hmmmm....)
  12. Some trademarks from Ghana... they're still wondering why their exports are so slow.....
  13. Too bad, too bad.... No respect for automotive history... and that's an understatement....
  14. Great pics, thanks for sharing... that Espada looks in top notch shape !! The rims on the black Miura look a bit darkish to me and the car seems to sit too low... could both be the angle of the camera...
  15. There was a small sidenote on the article indicating 1988. Not sure what was the original magazine since the article was cut from the magazine. I'm now beginning to find that this box I received by mail from an old school Lambo enthousiast is a real treasure cove with Lamo info... so much fun to browse through all these pieces of paper collected in the course of over 30 years... And yeah Rhyno is right, it's obvious by looking at the front bonnet that it's the Carbed version. Coming up next.... did you guys ever hear about the LM002 wagon ? Of course we've seen the Brunei special edition that's now for sale but it seems Lamborghini actually developped and built a wagon version.....
  16. That's good news buddy .. no need to say thanks, that's what we are here for !! BTW do you still hear the ABS beep when you start the car ?
  17. Finally... found some time to sift through the file box. Took me quite a while to find the 2-seater. Only couples of lines of text in the magazine article mentioning that this would be the final LM002 version in '88 and that now Lamborghini could claim to make the fastest transport vehicle in the world as well. The pics that are included with the article are post-stamp sized only. Did my best to scan in high-res and photoshop them to into something watchable.. It's clearly visible the car has an open top.
  18. I have an (aftermarket) sub behind the drivers seat. Amplifiers behind the passenger seat. Door speakers upgraded. Had to redo the wiring after I got the car the Texas company that installed it did a lousy job in wiring everything up...
  19. I can tell you this ABS beeper can drive you completely nuts... While driving every minute or so you'll hear a series of VERY loud beeps. An on-off-on cycle fixed this problem for me intermittently but every time I would drive through a pot-hole or over a bump the BEEPING would be back. I fixed mine by doing several things: 1. Disable power with the knob in the engine bay 2. Find the controller unit by removing front trunk back panel (the one that has the round light on it) 3. Carefully remove the cable by unhooking the clips on the sides 4. Clean out any residu / oxidation from the pins inside the connector (in my case it wasn't that bad) 5. Find the ABS sensors at the wheels and clean them up including the electrical connections This fixed the problem for me permanently. No more beeping I only see the ABS light on and hear 10 beeps or so when I turn the key to second position but I guess that's normal since after I start the engine the ABS light is off and I hear no more beeps.
  20. It's good for Lamborghini that the US is no longer the only major market... lots of shops opening in China.. when I was in Chengdu recently they just opened a new dealership there. Hangzhou following soon.... etc...... Sales figures are on the rise.. I guess Winkelmann is accumulating a lot of airmiles to China lately...
  21. Seems like a great story to me.... keep us all posted about your progress please...!
  22. Thanks for sharing... great info. Do you know if the car is still "alive" ? I'm pretty sure I should have a pic of it as well. Will try and find it after I'm back from my trip in China.
  23. At least we're moving back in time to the good old Lambo days.....
