  1. Yup....the more the cars are driven the better they get. I've driven over 16k miles on my Murcie in about 2 years and the car runs stronger ever day. One of my very good friends has an 03 Murcie and got 35k miles on his first clutch before replacing it. Both our cars have manual transmissions, so I can't speak to the e-gears….as I much prefer manual transmissions from a driving experience stand point. Over all the car has been incredibly reliable, a few minor issues like an occasional sensor light, but nothing major. Just be sure to change all the fluids every 2k or so miles and drive it with respect and you should have a very positive experience. Also, I highly recommend a killer exhaust like the MS Racing Stage II system...my freaking car sounds like a formula one!! Bottom line; Murcie’s are one of the best buys on the exotic car market today. They’re drop dead gorgeous, dirty rotten mean and nasty
  2. We jacked up the front of my Murcie to change a flat tire and we used two hydraulic jacks...one on each side just behind the front wheel well...one person can do it....just go from side to side one or two pumps on the jack at a time until you get both tires off the ground. By the way....we also needed to drive the car up onto a couple of 2x4's to get the clearance to push the jacks under the car. Regarding the cracked windshields...even the dealers will tell you never jack up one side from the front!!! Bad design or not....I love my Murcie
  3. I've got a 2002 Murcie with 13k miles on it and the clutch is as strong as the day I got it (purchased 2 years ago with 1800 miles on the car). I drive my car aggressively.....but with respect. I hope to get over 20k miles on my clutch before replacement.....only time will tell. 2008 Lamborghini Giro here we come!!!
  4. Yup, I totally agree. My MS Racing exhaust was installed last month and even my F-car buds have to admit it's the most bad ass sound they've ever heard from an exotic. I love it, my Murcie sounds as good as it looks now PS: Coming soon, a complete video of my car featuring the awesome sound of the MS Racing exhaust, it should be completed some time in March.
  5. I've been told this is very common on the early model Murcies. When the idle gets really bad (surging up and down on a regular basis) the throttle body needs to be adjusted. One source told me this can occur as often as every 1500 - 2000 miles. Apparently it was addressed in the later models (04 or 05 I believe).
  6. Well, I guess we should take a stab at the proper pronunciation; what I believe it is (and this came from an article I read when the car was first released): Gallardo pronounced: Guy-are-do Would someone please confirm this as correct or incorrect, and if this is incorrect please give me the correct pronunciation. Thanks in advance
  7. When my wife saw the sun visor in my Murcie she started laughing and asked me “why did they even bother putting it in the car”? So, put a larger sun visor in the Murcie (or any other follow on model) that has a telescoping arm/rod that you can slide backward and forward to block out the sun from the side window (you know some people actually drive these cars every day). Many other cars incorporate this feature and it's a cheep fix. Perhaps you can beat Ferrari to the punch!!!!!
