News is saying one of his houses was just broken into. They can't seem to find that anything was stolen, but that seems pretty.... weird. I mean, anyone who would do that would have to KNOW the FBI is watching that shit like a hawk and is in and out. So why would anyone risk breaking into his house?

a bumpfire stock allows the stock to slide about half an inch instead of a fixed postion. It uses the recoil from the last round fired to push the rifle backwards and then the person firing pushes forward on the muzzle and it creates an effect where you have the rifle bouncing off the finger. If you get good at it,it creates a full auto effect, but where the rifle and firing pin,trigger etc havent been modified its completely legal

This was most certainly planned. I have a feeling his family probably knows something based on how odd his brother acted about it and don't want to get involved. However, I'll wait for the investigation to finish and for the official release stuff to come before I stick too hard to any assumptions. Still, the amount of life lost, those who will never be the same, and those injured, is just unfathomable.

I'm not a guru on guns, but if there was enough sustained smoke due to all those shots and the smoke didn't dissipate so quickly, then it's realistic for it to set off the smoke detector.
Just think about false alarms from the kitchen and if heavy gunfire could simulate that.
If that indeed happened, the rest is easy to pinpoint very fast from the fire alarm control panel. Probably some delay mentally to make the mental association between the shooting and that smoke alarm condition being the location of the active shooter.
The building alarms should not go off, just the sounder base on the detector. He probably wouldn't have realized he outed himself.
After running my shower for about 2 minutes, if the door is left open, it'll set my smoke alarm off in the next room if I don't have the door closed. Very sensitive, and I can't imagine the temperature of the condensation moving over is all that hot moving to the next room. Takes virtually nothing to set it off. So I don't doubt that particulates could set one off.
A lot of smoke detectors these days go off of particulates. Where I work we have a VESDA (Very early smoke detection alarm), and it goes off particulates. We don't even allow cardboard inside the secure rooms because kicking up dust and getting particulates in the air can set it off. Sealed rooms, dust free, with gargantuan, very fine bag filters.
So depending on the type of alarm, if an early warning system, it could set it off.

Looks like our friend's mother was killed/murdered at the concert. He's a great kid (played for our team several years ago) and joined the coaching staff. His mother was awesome...beat cancer last year only to be cutdown by some giant asshole from a 32nd story window shooting into a crowd...

fcuking shit dude. There are videos of just bodies and bodies on the ground and others being wheeled off on stretches. This is terrible. This it insane.
I'm not the type who will post such videos, the only stuff I posted was the shots being heard. I wouldn't want that for my family so I never share those types. Regardless, this makes me wish I could stop the world and be like, "Yeah... I'd like off here please." lol it's just insane.

Apparently the guy was there for a while. My friend was told by the PD to go in the hotel, and then everyone was told to go out of the hotel in the video I posted. As they were leaving people were already saying it was on the 32nd floor. They ended up sealing off the area and closing down the streets and rushing the building.

always always always call the bank the check was given from. cashiers checks can be fraudulent. wiring money i have no issues with because to wire money i've always had to present id, and once funds are wired they're gone. sold cars that way many times. but if someone brings a cashiers check, they aren't always found to be fraudulent till weeks later, if they are indeed fake.
the way to get around that is to call the bank it was written from, ask for them to verify it was indeed signed there. just voluntarily call up the bank (not some number they give you), ask to speak to someone, verify, and if it's legit, then cash it.
