  2. Hi Guys, We'll i've owned my Diablo for 6 years now but the time for a change has come and it's sadly now been sold I do miss it - I took a Ferrari 456 in p/ex + cash to make up the balance ... The Ferrari will be re-sold in a few months as it's not really my 'cup of tea' (as we say in the Uk) ! I have a few old bits & bobs from my Diablo sat around in my garage that I could do with clearing - i'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post such a message in so please accept my apologies mods if i've done something wrong. * Original Diablo / SE30 / VT Fog / Driving lights, a pair with rear brackets included. CARELLO marked on the lens of both & codes : 0245211 / 46211 / 35200700. Frontal Condition is excellent - chrome on the inner lens face of both is unmarked. The glass lenses have no cracks, just some very light stone chip rash which could possibly be polished out. * Original Diablo / SE30 / VT Fog / Driving lights, a pair with rear brackets included. Codes on lenses : SIEM 16420 / 04-45251 / 04-45249 / 7R01-45250. Frontal Condition is reasonable - chrome on the inner lens face of both has been repainted silver at some stage & needs either re-painting, re-covering or re-chroming. The glass lenses have no cracks, just some very light stone chip rash which could possibly be polished out. * Original Diablo VT rear wing. Been in storage for a couple of years. Currently in satin black. Has been in storage for a couple of years due to me fitting an SVR wing so would benefit from a re-paint. * Original Diablo VT engine cover. Been in storage for a couple of years. Previously black and now in white. Has been in storage for a couple of years - couple of small chips here / there - nothing major. * Original Diablo VT front differential - perfect working order, only removed as I went for a RWD conversion. * Original Diablo VT front driveshafts (pair) - perfect working order, only removed as I went for a RWD conversion. * Original Diablo VT propshaft - perfect working order, only removed as I went for a RWD conversion. * Aftermarket front splitter for (i think) an SV. Bought it for my Diablo which had an SE30 front bumper fitted - didn't suit the profile of the SE30 bumper I had so it's been sat in my garage ever since. I 'think' it was from somewhere called Racetech ... or perhaps some similar named company in the US. * Original Diablo Pair of side strakes (ie. the 3 x layer metal part that fits within the rocker panels). Good condition with no corrosion, would benefit from a clean an a light spray of satin black before fitting. * 3 x Original Diablo Fuse box clear plastic covers (no cracks or splits to any of them) * Original 'Diablo' rear badge in black/red - couple of very tiny chips but perfect to refit as it is. * 3 x Original Diablo metal wiper blades - 2 with rubbers, 1 without. Good re-usable condition with no corrosion. * Pair of engine lid catches - Removed from my VT when I changed the cover for the GT version. In good condition and working perfectly. * Original Alpine amplifier (3522S) - Removed 5 years ago when i fitted an aftermarket system - Worked perfecty when removed. Has developed some light pitting to it's front face while in storage. I'm wiling to ship most parts overseas - the only thing I would struggle on shipping outside the UK would be the engine lid and front spoiler due to their size. If anyone is interested in any bits please either PM me or reply to this thread Dave
  3. I'm interested ! - I'll PM you
  4. ps) Even if anyone has a used one that would be fine
  5. Cheers for the reply - emailed please check with our franchised lamborghini dealer sponsors but they haven't got any in stock Does anyone else have one ?? ... or any more pointers ?? Cheers Dave
  6. Hi Guys, I'm struggling to get a part over here in the UK - It's part number 5225207 (outer rear wishbone bush). I ordered 4 from Lamborghini London (who ordered them in from Italy) but they only sent 3 and the remaining one is on 'back-order' with Italy .. which according to Lamborghini London means they 'might' make some more in a few months if they feel like it ! Does anyone have one of these that they would be willing to ship to the UK via Fedex/DHL etc. ? - Payment can be made by Paypal immediately. Thanks in advance for any replies Dave
  7. It actually sounded more like a shock absorber had seized at the time - with a kind of stiff / jammed creaking every time the rear wheel moved upwards / downwards within the arch. Haven't even taken the wheel off as yet, the broken wishbone was visible by just jacking it up a bit at the rear & looking underneath. I'll order a new one & post a pic of the failed one when i'm changing it. ps) 'Did anything feel wrong in the handling etc.' : No, nothing scarily - it felt normal !
  8. Hi Guys, I haven't been on here for a while, the Diablo has been tucked away in my garage for ages & i've been using an old 911 to do my running around in. Anyway .. Took the Diablo out today to blow the dust off & noticed a rather loud creaking noise from the rear right. Jacked it up and the top rear wishbone has completely broken on it's front most leg. All very scary to think I was doing 'perhaps a little' over the speed limit with it like that too, i think i've lost one of my nine lives today ! Has this ever happened to anyone else ? - i've search for wishbone on the forum but can't find anything. Cheers, Dave
  9. I'm with everyone else ... looks totally stunning
  10. Some outdoor pics from this morning
  11. Glad you like them - I'll try and get some better pics outside soon as the snow has stopped falling now. You're right about the rears ... although not really noticed it until you mentioned it, maybe I could do with some spacers in there to push them out a bit more. Very simple I bought some of this : Tinting Spray ... there are loads of other brands of the same stuff though. Then ... * Thoroughly clean the outside of the lenses with 'standard thinners' and make sure there are no bits of dirt / fluff etc. * 4 x Light coats of paint (as evenly as you can) on the outside of each lens (leave 15 mins between each coat) * Leave overnight to fully dry * T-Cut each lens back carefully to give it nice smooth finish * Finally wax them to give a good gloss finish * Job done
  12. Hi Guys, Well after a couple of weeks driving my new shade of Diablo i decided to stick it in my garage and send the wheels off to be split down and re-done in satin black. They arrived back today and look really good. While the car was in the air i decided to paint my brembo calipers red too I can't get any good long-range pics outside as we've got loads of snow here in the UK at the moment ... so these are the best i could get in my garage ! ps) & Yes, i realise the bolts are still chrome to all the people who said I should have black bolts as well before ... but i think they look good & break up all the 'blackness' a bit ... Dave
  13. Wow ... looks totally gorgeous ps) What are the carbon bits on the bottom of the rockers called ? - I want some for mine !
  14. Wow, progress ... it's looking great Is it me .. or does it seem a shame to paint all that carbon fibre ?! ... why didn't Lamborghini make all the Diablo panels carbon ! ... a 100% carbon body would look outrageous. Glad you're still going Balloon white .. will look great
  15. Thanks guys, glad you like it & noted about the 'all black' wheels - I'll get that sorted then ! The front fit is off, we had the lights, bonnet and bumper all fitting really well last week ... then it went back to the paint shop for some touch ups and they decided to take them off again and seem to have plonked them back on randomly ! ... all that area needs re-fitting again properly.
