  1. Thanks everyone. It's going to be a long week but I feel lucky to even get one.

As a side note, I'm going to be at Lambo NB for their supercar show on July 6th. Would be great to meet some of you there if you're in the area. Just in town for the day to meet my my salesman, the LNB staff, and attend the show. Oh, and as a bonus, I get out of the heat for a day. I'll probably be hanging out with Giovanni. Hope to see some of you there.

Kev, my trip starts tomorrow and overnights into Sunday. I'm guessing that Driven is closed on Sunday and don't want to bother Steve on a day off. I will get up there soon though and check things out. Monterey (Concorso) is on my to do list in the next couple of years as well.

  2. Eron, you mean your not going to hop over there and see it?? What are you NUTS!? Its gonna be 120 degrees here this weekend! CONGRATS looks gorgeous! Kev

I would go over but I've got a two day. At least I overnight in SJC where it's cooler. Hey, maybe I'll go visit your latest. Hope all is well on your end and thanks!

  3. Well everyone, I think I have finally found a car that I will keep a very long time. I have always wanted a Lamborghini with a gated shifter. As you all know, a modern Lambo is not easy to find with this option. When the LP560-2 Anniversario was announced, it fit the bill perfectly. With a gated shifter, superleggera interior (for the most part), and the unique white paint, I had to have it. This dream became reality this week as my Anniversario hit the shores of LA. They flew the car in from Italy (which I think is really cool) and it is now at Lamborghini Newport Beach getting some finishing touches done to it. In addition to what the car comes with, I had clear front side markers , carbon fiber side skirts, black cordellias, a clear bra, and performante stripes installed. I just wanted the car to be unique among its own. I get the car a week from today and this is most excited I have ever been to lay eyes on a car. Thanks again to Giovanni and Lambo NB for making this happen and treating me exceptionally well. Thanks to all on the board as well. Here are some pics of the dealer taking delivery and getting the car ready for its journey to me.

  4. The Alcantera interior.. sport seats, 6 speed.. more power.. the color.. All there..

Thanks for the interior pic of the 50th Gallardo. Looks better than I would have thought. How did the paint look? Seems like it would be somewhere in between Balloon white and the regular Bianco. It looks stunning from the pics I have seen. I get mine at the end of the month and can't wait.

  5. Totally agree.. I want another Gallardo.. 6 spd and have zero desire to TT it, or really do anything to make any of the cars I own faster anymore. I have absolutely no place to use the power here.. I cant even remember the last time anyone tried to race me in anything but a Prius in any of my cars. If I lived elsewhere and could use the power, then maybe Id be power hungry, but not here in Cali. The GTR guys went ballistic on me when I said driving a 2004 Gallardo 6 spd stock is much more fun than driving ANY GTR..

Same thing here in AZ. Too many cops. My old GTR and I got some unwanted attention--on the way to a car show that benefits the 100 club, no less. Car was quicker than my G but not near the experience to drive as the Lambo. I'm back in a Lambo now and enjoy the drive much more. Problem is, I was impatient and bought a black car with E-gear. Being old school, I want a 6 speed as well. So, I'm totally going the other way a getting a white Lp560-2 Anniversario with a true 6 speed manual. Never driven a 6 speed Lambo but I'm thinking this will be the best of all worlds. A raw driving experience with that V10 roar. Not to mention, the white will be a hell of a lot easier to take care of. Can't wait.

Sorry for the thread creep OP. The McLaren is a hell of a car. Pretty much puts everything it comes up against to shame. I wouldn't mind having one but can only afford one exotic right now. I could see one in my future but want to have what will be one of the last dying breed--the gated shifter. From the owners I've talked to, the MP4 is a great daily driver while at the same time being an awesome track weapon. These videos confirm that. Nice work. One day it would be cool to have one. A great combo to have a Lambo and a McLaren in the garage. Maybe in the future.

  6. Did not know you would be gear limited. Yea that would not work out in the event.

Kevin, just sold my car. I am House Hunting. We will cross that bridge after i make the wife happy.

I know what you're going through. I sold my 08 SL for the house I'm in now over two years ago. Ironically, that car went to Minnesota and ended up becoming a UGR TT race version if I'm not mistaken. I made the wife happy but man it sucked walking into the garage without a Bull in there. I just got back into a G in January, so all is well. Now the TT bug has gotten my attention. Funny how that works. Hang in there, time goes by pretty fast and you'll have the car you want before you know it. Good luck with the house hunting.

Sorry for the thread creep. Now back to regularly scheduled programming.

  7. A huge congrats on the new, healthy addition to the family. That is the greatest gift of all.

I've also been following your build and can't wait to see some video and pics of when you get the car back. Looks like it will be insane! I'm guessing it's probably the only or one of a very few Balloon White TT G's. Congrats on that as well. With all of these TT builds going on, you guys have me thinking. :eusa_think: I can't afford a build right away but a stage 1 would be plenty fast for me--especially with a RWD stick. Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the LP TT platform. Enjoy.

  8. Sleep with her.

Then ask if you can borrow $500.

    the schwarzenegger solution.

In all seriousness, let the insurance company handle it as others have said. They retain a lot of high paid lawyers who will probably make her life miserable until she accepts a minimal payment or drops her claim altogether.

  9. I like that color. It's a nice looking blue and the car looks super clean. It doesn't hurt that it's a stick as well--no Egear worries. I prefer darker interiors myself but the snowcorn goes with the blue pretty well. In the end, this is your purchase and what matters is what your preference is.

Looking at the other cars, I would take the matte car over the SE as well. Not feeling all that yellow on the inside of the SE. But that's just me. Maybe Brian could update the gearing on the '04 to the newer ratios if it is at all feasible or you even want that.

For me (with a clean PPI for them all):

    1. Murci

    2. Matte G

    3. SE

    Good luck!
