  1. The engine on my friend's 2005 G suddenly cut out while he was driving at about 90 MPH. Thankfully he was able to pull over with no incident. The CEL light came on. Anyone have a clue as to what may be the problem?
  2. Have a barely used Original Factory Gallardo SE Indoor Car Cover for sale. Its in excellent "as new" condition. Will sell to highest offer.
  3. Can anyone photoshop this in black metallic?
  4. Going to close on a metallic black/red one this week. The car is a visual stunner. Not looking for all out performance from this car, so I think I'll be happy with its true GT nature. Only concern is the life of the F1 clutch, as its the same in the 599 and I've "heard" some things about it lasting only 10-15k miles. Anybody know the story on this? Also, looking to do a PPI on the car. Anyone know a good shop who know Masers in the Miami area? Will post pictures when its in my garage.
  5. Anyone know of a good shop in S Florida to do mods, hidden radar installs etc?
  6. Right around $100k. The car needs nothing and has everything on it that we Lambopower people want!
  7. Have too many cars and just not using my G much anymore. Would sell it for a reasonable price. This is a "no story" MINT CONDITION beauty with 11,700 adult driven miles. Silver with black interior (with silver contrast stitching), rare 6-Spd Manual. Fully loaded including Clear Engine Cover, Navigation, Rear Camera, Front Lift, etc. Additional dealer installed Larini Exhaust (sounds amazing!), Built-in Front and Rear K-40 and Radar Jammer, 3-M Clear on Full Hood, Front Fenders and Side Mirrors. Dealer Serviced and 4 new tires within past month. New Optima Battery. Car is located in South Florida. Have many pics available. Serious offers only please.
  8. I have a MINT perfect 2005 Silver 6-Spd Manual with Black interior (with silver contrast stitching). This is a "no story" adult driven car with only 11,700 miles. Every option including Clear Bonnet, Rear Camera, Navigation, etc. Additional dealer installed Larini Exhaust, Built-in Front and Rear K-40, Radar Jammer, 3-M Clear on Full Hood, Front Fenders and Side Mirrors. Factory service and 4 new tires last month and new Optima battery. Please, no low-ball offers. Don't need to sell the car but, just don't use it much anymore as I have several other cars. Would like to see it go to someone who would use it more regularly. Car is in South Florida. Have pics.
  9. Driving my 2005 G on the highway today, noticed a new strange noise coming from the dash area. Its like a tinny sounding buzz that only appears when I'm on the throttle. Literally, when I take my foot off it goes away and even when I touch the throttle lightly it comes back again. Did this repeatedly with the same results. Anyone with an idea of what it may be?
  10. And Lamborghini/Audi don't have the capability for their $200k+ cars to read more accurately because...???
  11. Thanks for your comments. I read your post and decided to go with the Hankooks. Read a lot of reviews on them, spoke to the folks at Tire Rack who confirmed that for my type of driving, the Hankooks are MORE than adequate. Don't understand comments about sacrificing "safety" by going with these tires versus the ridiculously overpriced Pirellis. If I was interested in driving at 10/10ths, I'd spend the extra bucks (and not care about the 4-5k mileage wearout) for the bit of extra grip for sure. But for driving on 95 and local roads around S Florida, its totally overkill. Kind of like putting in 100 105 octane fuel in a commuter car programmed to run on 87. I'll save the $800 difference towards my upcoming 15k mile service
  12. Thanks man. Going to check to see if the Hankooks are within this range. Heard bad problems to the VT if the overall diameter is much off stock.
  13. Anybody know the circumference of the Hankooks and the Pirelli OEMs?
  14. Time to replace the tires on my 2005 G. I've read the various posts here about tire options, but most talk about getting the most performance, no matter the $$ or low wear rating. While I definitely respect the enthusiast's desire for ultimate performance, I don't drive the hell out of my G. Just a nice ride for me (with occasional bursts!). Plus, I'm in S Florida, where it now rains just about every day, so I'd rather have a nice "all weather" tire than a high performance "Summer" tire. Anybody have any experience with the Hankooks? Any other low cost/high wear tire to recommend. I have a concern with the circumference, as I've read here that a slight difference from OEM could cause issues with the diff? Appreciate any input
  15. Got the story on why they discontinued the MC Shift on the S model in 2010. A dealer said that, as the MC shift is essentially the same as the Ferrari's and the 4.7 L engine was close as well, they were losing Ferrari sales to the far less expensive Maserati in the US market. Sounds a little wonky, as I can't imagine that they are the same buyer, but I guess its kinda like all us G owners who were a little pissed that Audi came out with at "rebodied" G (the R8/R10) for far less than the cost of the G! Interesting though, you can get the MC Shift S model most everywhere else in the world. My only problem is finding the color combo I like. Anyone know of an either Blue, Dark Grey or Black model with a dark or light tan interior? Seeing a lot of black or red interiors... not for me.
