Not sure what I feel about this. I am glad the brand is doing well but too many Lambo I think devalues the brand. I know Ferrari does not limit their production and certainly, many who are owners have learned the hard lesson from Mclaren who floods the market with every variant and then discounts their cars to get cars out the door (much to the detriment of their owners). All that said, here is a good read: https://www.carexpert.com.au/car-news/lamborghini-wont-limit-supply-2023-production-almost-sold-out

Lamborghini Announced Partnership with Lego Group
Destructo posted a topic in Automobili Lamborghini
For the child in all of us Lamborghini announced today they will be joining with the Lego Group for the Technic. Being the third in the series. I believe the first two are the Bugatti and the Porsche 911 RSR. No word on which vehicle will be featured, but I'd wager an Aventador SVJ variety. Which car would you pick to be used? -- Press Release -- First ever LEGO® Technic™ Lamborghini set will launch globally in summer 2020. Sant’Agata Bolognese, 28/01/2020 – Automobili Lamborghini and The LEGO Group announce the new partnership introducing the first ever Lamborghini super sports car by LEGO® Technic™, the building system that allows older kids and adults to create more advanced, complex models. The new 1:8 scale set will launch in summer 2020 and will be the third model in the LEGO Technic Ultimate series, following on from its hugely popular predecessors. This new partnership will see Lamborghini and LEGO Technic joining forces to deliver the engineering excellence and design flair that both companies have become famous for. With the possibility of constructing transmissions, differentials and gearing systems, LEGO Technic is an advanced building experience that many fans find challenging yet rewarding. When you build with LEGO Technic, you learn how to Build for Real. Katia Bassi, Automobili Lamborghini Chief Marketing and Communication Officer, says, “The LEGO group has amazed entire generations with beautifully simple or extremely complex constructions. In the digital age, where entertainment is often via a screen, our collaboration with The LEGO Group allows enthusiasts to live a real experience, reproducing a Lamborghini super sports car in every detail to create an outstanding model, just like the real car.” For Niels Henrik Horsted, LEGO Technic Marketing Director, partnering with a company like Automobili Lamborghini is an ideal choice: "Following the success of the former Ultimate models, it was crucial for us to find a new partner with an iconic vehicle, an unmistakable design DNA and ground breaking use of technology." The LEGO Technic Lamborghini model will be available in LEGO Brand Retail Stores and the LEGO Online Store from 1 June 2020 and more widely from 1 August 2020. Further details about the LEGO Technic Lamborghini will be revealed at a later date. -
I'll be honest, I was surprised this wasn't done years ago. Especially when they launched the lease program. Better late than never I suppose. Full Press Release Below, but here's the quick and dirty. Qualifiers for the Program - No more than 43,500 miles/84 months of use for a car, no more than 62,000 miles/120 months of use for a Urus. - Must have followed regularly scheduled maintenance (no mention if it needed to be at a certified dealer). - 150 Point Inspection - Upon Approval to be Sold as a "Selezione Lamborghini" vehicle comes with 12 months warranty, with an option for extension up to 24 months. Free 6 month check up is included in the purchase. Sant’Agata Bolognese, 27 February 2018 – Automobili Lamborghini launches Selezione Lamborghini Certified Pre-Owned, a new, comprehensive certification program for pre-owned cars sold through the authorized Lamborghini dealer and service center network worldwide. Selezione Lamborghini provides the new owner of a pre-owned Lamborghini with the assurance that the car has passed a rigid process, with checks and any work carried out by trained Lamborghini technicians, using genuine Lamborghini parts. “This is an important new program to support the growing volume of pre-owned Lamborghini cars sold through the authorized dealer network,” said Automobili Lamborghini Chief Commercial Officer, Federico Foschini. “In line with our growing production volumes, an increasing number of clients are deciding to buy into the Lamborghini marque, both new and pre-owned models. Today Lamborghini is recognized as a benchmark in the segment in terms of quality and exclusivity. The purpose of Selezione Lamborghini is to now make these standards also available for those who want to take the first significant step into the Lamborghini world with the purchase of a pre-owned Lamborghini.” Lamborghini cars offered for sale under the Selezione program must meet certain rigid criteria, including no more than 70,000 km/43,500 miles for the super sports cars and 100,000 km/62,000 miles for Urus, over no more than 84 months of use and 120 months for Urus. The car must have undergone regular scheduled maintenance as directed by Lamborghini’s service schedules as well as passing a comprehensive list of 150 checks covering both exterior and interior features of the car, mechanics, electronics, tires, rims and brakes. Full diagnostic and road tests are also carried out on the pre-owned car before it is sold. Every Pre-owned Selezione Lamborghini certified car is sold with a minimum 12-month warranty, extendable up to 24 months, which covers both parts and labor using qualified technicians and genuine Lamborghini parts. The warranty provided can be transferred free of charge to another owner should a Selezione Lamborghini be sold on. Roadside assistance is also provided for the duration of the warranty at the same level accompanying a new Lamborghini. A complimentary, subsequent six-month check is offered to all buyers of a Lamborghini Selezione. All Lamborghini cars are sold from new with a three-year warranty that can be extended up to five years by the customer at the moment of purchase. Further warranty extension and maintenance option will also be offered as part of the Selezione Lamborghini program. Selezione Lamborghini has been launched in February 2019, with roll-out across the world during 2019 according to country specifics.

Usually, when I look at the Collezione pieces, I shake my head and wonder what kind of knob is genuinely excited about what they put out. Nothing is without exception, however. The latest Collezione is the least offensive I've seen yet! I'm not a fashion expert by any means, but I've rarely seen this stuff out at events. A handful of times I'd wager. I digress, this seems to be some decent stuff that wouldn't brand you a total fanboy in public. But we need to talk about those shoes...Oi. Alright, check it out. I'm digging the overnight bag and backpack as my favorites, and a few of the shirts for sure.

Lamborghini recently interviewed Nicki Shields (Full disclosure, I had to google who this was). She is a Formula E pitlane reporter and social media analytics company founder. Anywho, she provided some insight on the new Urus from the fairer sex's perspective. She took it off-road and played in the muddy puddles a bit. Granted, it's nothing extreme, and to be honest, this is a pretty weak attempt at a woman's perspective on the vehicle. But it's something, maybe some of the ladies on the board can provide some more insight. I'd love to see EyeDoc or Cake get their hands on a Urus for a real review from a capable woman. Anyways, the video doesn't embed, but it's a short 2:00 minutes at the link if you are interested. https://www.lamborghini.com/en-en/news/nicki-shields-talks-urus-a-female-perspective?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=LB_25_2018_12_28

Did anyone go to Art Basel this year and see the display? From the photo, it looks like it could be an art-nerds fancy. I loved the Art Deco Miami South Beach when I went, but that was years ago and not during Art Basel, and I sure didn't venture outside of SoBe and Homestead Raceway None the less, the Urus represented. If anyone had a chance to go and has some pictures we'd love to see them. Check out the release below.
