Teufel657 Report post Posted November 20, 2007 Source: Autoblog. The era of 'Ring attacks has begun. Next atop the heap of Nord-lappers is a lightweight, supercharged BMW M3 CSL that took a full five seconds off the Pagani Zonda F's best run. The car has, of course, been modified, but the changes aren't outrageous -- you might see more extreme mods at your local M3 gathering. The incredible thing is that the car puts out 532.7 rear-wheel horsepower and weighs 3,139 pounds with thirty liters of fuel. That means it has 70 fewer HP and weighs 400 pounds more than the Pagani Zonda F it dethroned. The car can't be faster down the straights, so this must be all in the corners. We wouldn't mind seeing videos of the two laps side-by-side to find out where the BMW leaves its Italian competition behind. drc Report post Posted November 20, 2007 I read that they changed the whole suspension or something before the run. EDIT: Ok. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96208 "he Germanys very own BMW CSL "guru" Tom Schirmer (Shirmer Motorsports) change the whole set-up and many parts was changed in the chassie past weeks. And that helped us getting the this fantastic time."
BITURBOAMG Report post Posted November 20, 2007 I owuld like to see what exact mods this car had. stock they make 267-287whp and with the vf blower they make 400whp give or take. 530whp would be a blast on this car.

SpeedingLambo Report post Posted November 21, 2007 But you guys are missing the point it is 70hp down & 400lb heavier which makes the time considerably awesome.. Granted this was run with R compound tires which would probably be good for extra 8-10 secs over PS2s(which Zonda uses), even then it would only be 3-4 secs slower after being soo behind on other specs
aedmon640 Report post Posted November 22, 2007 it is 70hp down This car makes 530 at the WHEEL. The Zonda makes 600 at the MOTOR. this car probably makes MORE horsepower than the Zonda.
