With only ONE bid at EXACTLY 100 grand, I would say that this is most certainly a fake bid.

 

But, the heritage?

I should go check this thing out, it's about a half hour away from me. Maybe I'll even offer them $100,001.

There are quite a few for sale in that price range.

Unless you are buying a station wagon or van, all dealerships will look for a sucker willing to pay a premium, to have the first new toy on the block.

 

 

Dealers even want a premium, to be the first on your block with a new pick-up truck body.

 

 

What is even more comical, is the "investor" who puts the new car in his garage on-blocks. Six years later, he sells a brand-new car for a loss, and never even experienced the enjoyment of ownership. You can still find as-new 1990 ZR-1 autos, that were stored for other people, at 50% of the MSRP.
