ErikV10 Report post Posted July 15, 2008 I usually run it under cold water, lather my hands, soap and brush it, then I rinse and soak it in a mineral water. I dry it with a microfiber cloth that it came with and to ensure that its completely dry, I blow dry it. I do this once a week. Is that the proper way to clean a watch? I'm afraid it might lose its luster after a while.
kroger Report post Posted July 30, 2008 What I have found that works best is using the Cape Cod Polishing cloths about once a month depending upon the use my watches get. These work great in taking out all the minor scratches. http://www.capecodpolish.ca
gaylardos Report post Posted August 2, 2008 if u r really anal about cleaning watches, the proper liquid to use to rinse them off is with distilled water but otherwise unless your watch is worth $10000000, u really r doing too much to it. topcabron Report post Posted September 5, 2008 Dip it in heated Mr Clean.......for the band, not the actual watch. It will really shiney. If your band is leather, dont do this.
abolfaz Report post Posted September 5, 2008 I periodically send my watches either to a jeweler for cleaning or send them back to the factory for refurbishing. They always come back looking like new.
