Gallardopete Report post Posted July 26, 2010 Some discussion and pics here: http://www.germancarforum.com/internal-com...rbo-s-gt-r.html Also, check out the other times recorded on fastest laps. The SL is monstering just about everything it comes up against. Not the fastest in a straight line but the handling/(weight) seems really sorted http://fastestlaps.com/carLamborghini_Gall...perleggera.html

Mako Report post Posted July 26, 2010 Wow, fast lap. You can see why pretty easily from those test results, great power + great handling + great brakes is going to post a low laptime... And again Porsche's amazing PDK manages to astound in that 0-124mph test, car must launch like it's being catapulted off the deck of the Nimitz. D.Wiggs Report post Posted July 26, 2010 I cannot believe how fast the Porsche is and how good the PDK must be.
gtelesto Report post Posted July 27, 2010 I am just hoping the lp570 will beat the lap time of the Italia at Nurburgring to complete my day. I am a pathetic fanboy, sorry
mv Report post Posted August 3, 2010 Keep in mind guys, that LP570 used Corsa tires (semi-slick), whereas 458 used regular tires. That makes considerable difference in lap times. 458 equipped with Corsa tires would have lapped the Vairano in under 1:14 probably, faster than the LP570. Supposedly, Sportauto said the standard Michelin Pilot Sport K1, specially developed for the 458 are close to corsa tyres of Pirelli. At least this is what is claimed at Rennteam. http://www.rennteam.com/forum/page1.html?vs=3 "Not quite - the Michelins on the 458 are apparently close to Cups in terms of dry performance (SportAuto says so + the wet handling times are that worse that I tend to believe the comment on tyres in the text) " Time will tell which car will be faster than the other in more tracks. Correct. As long as any of these cars are run on the tires that are offered stock from the factory then the results are fair. LP570 is a beast with the times it's throwing down.
