Also, check out the other times recorded on fastest laps. The SL is monstering just about everything it comes up against. Not the fastest in a straight line but the handling/(weight) seems really sorted

This is as close as I can get to the article

http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?viewThrea...&tID=182191

The supercomapro "Club 4 Secondi" is avaible but something is wrong this year:

- ten supercars, but about 458italia and SLS amg test datas and laptimes are just a reprint fo prev. comparo...

- very poor data panel: 0-100, 0-200, 200-0, top speed, ski-pad, laptime.. stop! no 1/4 mile, no standing Km ext ext

- no final report and verdict

the world crisis on Quattroruote? I don't know...

even so, the cars are:

Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera

Nissan GT-R MY10

Porsche 997 TurboS Pdk 530hp(with PVT)

Audi R8 V10

Lotus Evora

BMW M3 v8 manual

Continental Supersports

XKR 510hp

458italia and SLS amg (data are just a reprint of prev. comparo )

1.22:339 - 111.93 Kph - Lotus Evora 3.5l 280hp (Pirelli PZero)

Verdict:

this year ther's not a final report, QR simply writes "458 is still the best, but lambo and porsche

show us impressive numbers"

The Supercars

Gallardo Superleggera:

the only under 1'15": good light weigt, extreme setup, grip, tyres!! Gallardo beasts 458 in the slowest part of the track, it's more reactive. Comfort? no, thanks!

997 TurboS

Dragster! 0-100 3.03s "we'd change the name of this club! very good overall"

GT-R

Almost perfect, you can feel easly its limit. GT-R MY10 cuts almost 1s from MY08 (1'17"600):it still cannot compete against the "old" rivals GT2 and 430S, bu it beats its "new" rivals 997 turboS and R8 V10, fantastic price: 87,000euros! what's no good? engine-sound"

R8

there's no match with R8 V8, but the laptime is a bit disappoinment

M3

funny drift, very good setup. If you'ra a good driver you can turn off the DSC

XKR

great performance, just some problems on track cause no slip diff and soft setup.

Continental SS

-100 Kg, but still too weight, but the setup is very good. impressive performances and top speed, 326.7 Kph!

Evora

Nice and funny handling in the slowest part of the track. sad ineterior, no optional

Wow, fast lap. You can see why pretty easily from those test results, great power + great handling + great brakes is going to post a low laptime... :icon_super: :icon_super:

And again Porsche's amazing PDK manages to astound in that 0-124mph test, car must launch like it's being catapulted off the deck of the Nimitz.

Keep in mind guys, that LP570 used Corsa tires (semi-slick), whereas 458 used regular tires. That makes considerable difference in lap times. 458 equipped with Corsa tires would have lapped the Vairano in under 1:14 probably, faster than the LP570.

Supposedly, Sportauto said the standard Michelin Pilot Sport K1, specially developed for the 458 are close to corsa tyres of Pirelli. At least this is what is claimed at Rennteam.

"Not quite - the Michelins on the 458 are apparently close to Cups in terms of dry performance (SportAuto says so + the wet handling times are that worse that I tend to believe the comment on tyres in the text) "

Time will tell which car will be faster than the other in more tracks.

Correct. As long as any of these cars are run on the tires that are offered stock from the factory then the results are fair.

LP570 is a beast with the times it's throwing down.
