registering a website name

Just to secure a domain. I got a decent deal. I probably shouldn't have done such a long term, but it's my first time and it was cheap. Now I'm going to hunt for hosts. I didn't know most secured domains also until AFTER I bought the GoDaddy domain.

Sounds exactly the same way I secure a domain name, only for free 99 instead of $0.99

That was my thought on the .co as well. I was just curious since this this whole internet thingy keeps growing and if the premium for a .com would increase, but then again I am doubtful even on that. If I figure out a domain name for a serious business or project I'm going to secure it in multiple forms.

If you really think you'll be the next amazon, it is a good idea to gobble up the competing .ws .us. biz .co .net .org, etc... If your name is something esoteric a trademark would be a good idea too.
