kconny Report post Posted April 13, 2016 Hi Guys, yesterday I installed the car battery again (was uninstalled during the winter) . Unfortunately now the engine control symbol ( the symbol in the left corner of the cockpit display) doesn`t disappear anymore. Usually you start the engine and after a view seconds all the symbols in the cockpit disappear, but in my case the engine control symbol stills remains . Check control shows no errors and the car/engine work perfect. Has anyone of you an idea, if there is a chance to handle the problem without visiting a lambo dealer ( next dealer is good distance away) Thanks in advance for your help
djantlive Report post Posted April 13, 2016 I don't think there is such thing as engine control symbol. Do you mean a check engine light? On the Gallardo it will read 1-5 or 6-10. FYI, You will get ESP light and it will go off after 200 feet or so of driving.
Chipster Report post Posted April 13, 2016 I'm wondering if he means the drive train symbol?
kconny Report post Posted April 13, 2016 no , I`m talking about the engine control symbol in the cockpit display. Gallardo Manual says it shows problems with the engine/engine control. Not the bank 1-5- or 6-10 symbol It`s the yellow/orange symbol ( nr. 2 in the car manual instruction of the cockpit display) right above the left indicator light. Usually it disappeared after starting the engine, but right now it doesn`t , even if I can`t realize any mistakes or problems with the engine or car. I'm wondering if he means the drive train symbol? djantlive Report post Posted April 13, 2016 Ah, I see. You can read the code with a $15-20 scanner. Try driving the car with 3-4 start on/off cycles. Sometimes it goes away. If you do read the code, search here to see possible fix. Good luck!
kconny Report post Posted April 25, 2016 I used an OBDII Scanner , that realized 3 misfire errors. After deleting the errors, the problem was fixed. Thanks for your help and answers
