tpamurci Report post Posted August 8, 2018 Hey all, I'm at the 12 year mark on my '06 G Spyder and have never had the plugs replaced so figured it is time. I'm curious how hard this is as a DIY? On my Murci I'm completely happy paying to have it done, but the G seems like it might be a little bit easier as the convertible top holder looks like it wouldn't be terribly hard to get out of the way and the plugs all appear to be reasonably accessible without needing to levitate over the car like the Murci. Trying to decide if I want to pay the dealer tax ($250 markup on the NGK oem plugs, ~$200 for labor) or do it myself if it would only take an hour or two. IanMan Report post Posted August 8, 2018 Just change them out yourself. It’s seriously easy on the G. Just make sure you torque them properly.
oufan2929 Report post Posted August 9, 2018 That’s awesome you’ve had the car so long! Enjoy in good health! Plugs on a vert are definitely more of a pain... my local shop charges me 4 hours.
