It's basic psychology. The questioner doesn't REALLY care what you answer...they don't REALLY care to know exactly how much the car costs. They just want to hold your attention in conversation. It's like talking to a supermodel. You know you have no chance, but you need SOMETHING to talk about right? They just want to have a story to tell their friends..."dude, so i saw this lambo at the gas station today blah blah blah." My advice would be to come up with some clever one-liners that aren't derisive. Some good examples were shared earlier.

yep i'm from the bmw camp, but not from the e46 camp. i have their e36 m3 supercharger kit on my car. They sold me the kit with the promise of CARB certification pending, and an aftercooler kit pending. Neither of these has happened. In reality, they used their e36 kit profits to fund their R&D for e46 development, and completely dropped any customer service related to e36 owners. This then happened to the e46 owners when the e9x came out LOL. They have a horrible reputation for pointing fingers and not taking responsibility. It is virtually impossible to get anything covered under their "warranty." The moral of the story is that if you have a lambo and want a little more power, get a Heffner or UGR bolt-on turbo. Truth be told, 90% of s/c car owners get the itch for more boost, but are unable to do so. Many then have to switch to a turbo kit. Might as well start out with a turbo kit with the option for a built kit...

cool product, especially for the majority of gallardo owners that don't want a huge dedicated turbo build... problem is that VF hasn't established themselves yet. i say that as an owner of a car with a VF s/c kit. i've been disappointed with their customer service.

funny thing, the internet is. if this was back in the day, ray woulda been SCREWED and woulda had to take him to court. because of threads like this, there was pressure on shadowman to save face and actually address the issue. just because shadowman responded to all he pressure (did he really have any choice?), doesn't make him a standup guy - he's still scum in my book for not owning up to the responsibility in the first place. hope ray got what he wanted.

can't imagine what it'd be like to drive that rocket on the track...kudo's for actually taking it out where it can stretch its legs! i'm glad you had a conscience and decided NOT to endanger yourself with that beast...ie. turning the boost down and not going 10/10. the worst thing you can do is endanger your health with a car that powerful. stay safe man, especially in the wake of VRalexander's death.

LOL i don't know if you can say that a GTT can go to the track and home with cold AC driving 1 session slowly... anyways, the car looks great and sounds great. would love to see it get flogged out there!
