Well, I caved and bought an iPad, loving it so far. Streaming video from espn.com in the kids room, netflix/youtube out by the pool, got the TripAdvisor app for planning a upcoming vacation which is insane with satellite imagery, pictures, videos, downloaded the kids some books and used it last night for bedtime stories..lol I only have a few apps, curious what the other must have apps for iPad you guys have.

I have had zero desire to get an ipad since it first came out but lately I have really started getting the urge to pick one up. Yes I would be a toy but I keep coming up with times it would be very handy. I don't have a laptop or really need one, but netflix, games, web around the house etc. I guess if I dont like it I can just sell it for basically what I paid...

The Gov Rick Scott here is catching all kinds of hell around here for turning down that money. The Tampa mayor went off on him in the press and so many other bitching about it that apparently he is considering changing his mind if they can prove it won't cost tax payers any money. I don't get it. It's only a 1.5 hour drive from Tampa to Orlando. It's not a bad drive at all, we are heading up to Animal Kingdom lodge Wednesday with the kids. I can't see driving to train station, paying to park, paying for 4 tickets, waiting on whatever schedule they have. When I can just drive up on my own schedule, and have transportation while I am wherever I'm at. I envision a 3/4 empty train running continuously.

I looked and ended up just getting a PS3. I'm not a huge gamer at all but I got a great deal so it was marginally more than a regular BR player. Does all of the above flawlessly. It's 3D ready too if thats your thing and the storage on it is nice 160GB most commonly. It's a great player, audio processor on it's own. Amazon ran them at $299 with free $100 giftcard awhile back.
