The corruption wall in Russia starts breaking.

Alexei Navalny accuses Russian prime minister Dmitry Medvedev of corruption. A tremendous amount of journalistic work done. This video shows that those in Putin's circle are solely interested in getting very very very very rich. Like, look down on American wealth rich. The amount of corruption is staggering, and ways to exploit the system are very creative. And everyone is in on it across the Putin's established system -- "No money for the people, the country is poor, tighten up your belts, while moving money offshore and getting your family citizenship in the first world." It's the rule not the exception.

What's different this time?

First, the video has 11 million views on youtube and another 6 on another source.

The video is here available with english subtitles.

Second, there are mass protests scheduled for tomorrow. We're talking 97 cities in Russia, hunderesds of thousands of people. It has been comical and sad to watch the corrupted system try to stop the protests and deeming them unsanctioned. Fake events for those dates suddenly planned, road repairs, bandits, etc..even advertising on facebook NOT to go to the protest. You can't make this shit up.

Thirdly, other parties within the Russian duma are asking for a probe. Obviously for their own reasons but this is a start.

You think there will be civil war, or will the Russian gov machine crush the people?

Most importantly are you safe?

I have nothing to do with this stuff personally. The first question is way too broad. Navalny is very very smart, I hope those around him are just as capable and likable to the public. Nothing can change without replacing the judicial system with the non corrupt one. European courts can help in some cases, but only on major human rights issues. In any case we can see just how much opposition Putin actually has from those who have any power left.

I guess my question is more are you no longer in Russia (I thought you went back for a while), and your family, are they okay?

Navalny is a joke, you'll find more Monarchists who hate both him and Putin.

You are severely retarded if you think Navalny has any relevance in Russia, no one supports him and it starts with how quickly he can change his views to match foreign governments opinions.

It's the rule in every non democratic country. Obviously everyone who gets a little bit of wealth wants to safeguard it. When you have governments that can deprive you of your wealth and property on a whim, it's the logical thing to do. Chinese do it more than Russians or any others put together, and I understand the reasons. Russia is no different to any other country with a similar system. You piss off the wrong people you can find yourself in a number of really bad situations. You can lose your wealth and business, you can end up in jail on bogus charges, or worse you can disappear altogether. It's also the same in countries with a generally weak rule of law.

The difference here is that this rule is for the RULING party of the country. They simply stay in power to steal more.
