  1. Sorry to post this - I am not good at the search function. I moved into a very modern-looking apartment in NYC recently and I can't think of a better way to decorate it than with liquor bottles, and a few of these fine pieces of art. Does anyone know his username or if he still does this type of work? I loved the pastel paintings of Gallardos he's done. Thanks. Mike
  2. The chassis is also bonded with a carbon resin that increases rigidity by 10-15%... Pretty steep updates compared to the G --> SuperG.
  3. That's insanely loud. I don't even know how to fathom that. No crap from law enforcement? When my car had straight pipes, I kept feeling like I was walking on egg shells because my car was so audible and I didn't wanna disturb the peace too much.
  4. No way it weighs 3042 lbs. Notice Edmunds.com said it weighs 245 lbs less than a 560-4. A 560-4 doesn't weigh ~3300 lbs...that's the DRY WEIGHT Lamborghini advertises. If only
  5. I wonder how the power band is altered to handle the power. I know PEAK power is down by 10 ponies, but peak power isn't gonna affect traction very much at all, so I wonder what's going on under the curve.
  6. "How much did you pay for that?" "How much did you pay for your house?" Lotus isn't expensive but it gets haters/idiots all the same.
  7. I think the driver/car connection in the F430 was relatively dull compared to my expectations, but maybe I'm just used to my Lotus. I also like the steering feel of non-LP Gallardo; might be a little artificially weighted, but the tactile feedback is crisp for an AWD car.
  8. + eleventy Good post & I think you're correct. It's about bragging rights. For example, 240 MPH... cool... doesn't really serve you any tactical purpose, it's just cool that you can do it on an airport runway. Bragging rights, as I said, which is a fine goal to pursue. Nothing wrong with that.
  9. I heard it was an awesome day and people were coming from all over the country. There was a little yellow Lotus there that will be kicking ass soon (very fast car). Hey, are you going to Monticello on the 31st? The full track is open. I'm signing up if my car is finished in time.
  10. This car just goes to show that competition really does breed quality. Lambo, Audi, and Porsche stepped up their games in this market, and even Ferrari had to respond to get back on top, and look at what a gem of technology they come up with. Styling-wise: I think it's a clean design from the side, and I appreciate the aerodynamic efficiency, but the rear is extremely busy (those vents...ick...) and the front looks a bit retarded. 570hp from a road-legal 4.5l V8? That really is something. Bravo, Ferrari...
  11. Guy wants to organize a Runway event with exotics.. The benefit for the exotic (Lambo-power) owners is they will have the opportunity to go all out in their cars and possibly get some hard data which we all know is highly coveted. The event organizer intends to benefit himself by making videos, possibly for profit. So what's the problem? He's not trying to take anybody for a fool, both sides are getting something out of it if they so choose.
  12. 200 lbs less, 30 more hp, and body modifications are pretty substantial updates IMO... You can pretty take any car and make it the same or better than a more hardcore or higher performance version for less $$. The Gallardo SL vs. Gallardo, for example. Ferrari Scuderia, Lotus Exige S v. Lotus Exige S 260. But when these modifications are done by the factory, it adds much greater value to the car because the factory will do them properly, give you a warranty, and give you a new model that you can sell for more $. Is it cost effective? No. But it's not hard to understand why it's appealing. No head aches. Now the GT3 vs GT3 RS...that's just a sham
  13. I love the wheels. I love the car. Holy sh^t at the wiring job you guys did!!!! Hope no one spills anything on it.
