  1. I hope this is ok to announce this here, but I'm listing my Rosso Mars 50th Anniversary LP570 Performante. It has 3800 miles, 2+ years left on the warranty, well maintained, and can be financed through my local dealer. Whoever buys it is going to love it.

  3. A friend of mine's white LP-550 is (or will be soon) up for consignment at Lamborghini Houston. It's been well cared for. I don't know the details.
  4. Wow..good price for the PZeros - especially if they are the Lambo-specific ones. My Maserati GranTurismo 12K service was about the same amount. Seems reasonable for this kind of car.
  5. I just asked about Carbon fiber and we're looking into some options for this. I should have some more info next week about how I can make these available.
  6. Yes. The logo and the buttons have clear-bra material for protection.
  7. The colored vinyl part has a cutout for the existing logo - it simply lays directly over it. Then, I used clear Expel (much thicker than the vinyl) to cover the metal logo/emblem because the emblem typically gets destroyed by tossing your keys around. My last Lambo came with keys with an almost unrecognizable logo because of scratches. Disheartening. I also used the clear expel on the button to protect it from getting circular "glossy" spots from being pressed, and also to prevent fading of the white icons. I have a lot of faith that the emblem is protected because it's self-healing clear-bra material. But I'll do some testing to see how tough the vinyl is.
  8. It's disheartening to buy a $280K car and have a key that looks almost identical to my old VW Jetta TDi (that was my daily driver for a while). It's also a bummer when you buy a used car and the key has the previous owners "essence" - dirty, scratched, etc. When I had my clear bra installed last week, I asked the installer for some scraps. I came home and created a prototype protector. The clear looked really cool - made the key seamless and glossy. Today, I went back to the installer to get some touch-ups to my tint, and he let me print out my patterns for my key fob with different colors. Here's what I came up with to match my car. I was thinking about printing off more of these, and letting my daughter, whose taking an entrepreneurship class in highschool sell these for her school project. Let me know if you would be interested in a particular color or black. If we make a kit, it will include the self-healing XPEL clear for the metal logo to prevent it from being scratched, and a clear cover for the buttons.
  9. Thanks for all the replies. I'm thinking I should just be ok with it, but I might also use an alcohol spritzer for my hands before I drive to remove oils. I'm not exactly the type of person who could pull off the "gloved" look. About my reconditioning effort on my SL, The way I used the wire brush was to press it into the wheel, then just wiggle it gently without letting the bristles actually scrap the surface. It did a good job fluffing it up but as others said, the texture became brittle-feeling.
  10. At the risk of sounding a bit anal, I'm wondering if anyone has found a way of protecting (or perfectly rejuvenating) their suede/alcantara steering wheel. My last LP570 had been so 'gripped' that it became slick. I use a steel brush and water to fluff it back up but I couldn't get it to be soft again. Would a steering cover press the fibers down just like my hands? Or was my old one slick due to crap on the previous driver's hands?

  13. Last Tuesday, I picked up my new 2013 LP570 Performante Edizione Tecnica after trading in my 2011 Superleggera. It's Rosso Mars with Ad personam black wheels. Totally thrilled!
  14. Hey, Do any of you have experience with products or materials that protect the underside of the nose and tail of your car? Like a sort of über-thick clear bra, black urethane padding, or (what I saw from Fabspeed for F458s) a type of metal 'pucks' that keep thes parts from ever touching concrete.
  15. I've been chatting with Ag02M5 and the local dealer about this. I didn't realize this thread was going to get crazy. There a few technical hurdles to overcome in terms of wiring, airbags, and mounts. I absolutely would not trade for any seat that isn't a Superleggera yellow stitch.
  16. I'm 6'2". I've had my 2011 LP570 for 6 months and while it's been amazing, I frequently get neck and back pains because I have to contort myself to fit. I won't even mention the grief my wife gives me ;-). If you know anyone who has the yellow trim and prefers the fixed carbon buckets, I might be interested in a trade.
  17. Actually, at 6'2", I'm 'ok' in my LP570 SL...just a little contorted, and nothing a chiropractor can't fix.
  18. I'm in Atlanta. Loving this car - especially on the long sweeping roads in the foothills of the mountains.
  19. Does anyone know if it's possible to put some spacers in the seat to tilt it back a little so I can fit without hitting my head? Currently, I have to slouch forward -or- contort my but to the front edge of the seat, getting 0 support on my lumbar - both cases are leaving me a little sore.

  21. I'm 6'2" and my Superleggera seats don't exactly fit for me. I'm about 2 inches too tall - I'm either slouching or contorting. But I still love this beast.
