  1. Yes. Unlike other cars, I never stop grinning when I get in and drive.
  2. That's the author of the post taking a picture of the interior while someone else takes a picture of her. Aimee knows the difference and a lot more about cars than most people. Sorry Aimee, always someone around to stereotype.
  3. Yup, knows her stuff too! She's the real deal. A- I'll be down this weekend for the LA Auto Show and Cars and Coffee! John may be down too.
  4. I think they sped up the video 4X and shot it in a 5 mph zone.
  5. I couldn't agree more. I'd also add that it's rare that someone comes up and says anything negative. Most of the time people are really happy to see my car and I have fun answering questions. Oh, one I forgot. I had a woman come up and look at me with disgust. I told her I bought it with the extra money I earned at the sperm bank.
  6. One guy came up at Venice Beach and said he was wanted by the police and needed a ride to Phoenix. He'd give me $50 to take him there. The valets are sick of people coming up saying, "That's my car." A guy rode past on a beat up bike and said, "Ugly color!" I yelled back, "That's why you're on a bicycle!"
  7. Google "Lamborghini colors" and it will come up at the top in the PPG colors. Scroll down and it's on the list.
  8. Sameer has it right! (can't wait to see your CF pictures Sameer)
  9. The white would be a great looking interior but I'd hate to try and keep it clean. I keep my cars spotless and it's a pain when you have to take it in for leather cleaning all the time. It would be a lot easier if it wasn't the roadster. I think you can get away with a green interior. There was a new VI with a green interior on the market and it wasn't moving all that fast, but I don't know if the dealer was asking a premium for it or if it was the car, or their local market, but it looks like it did finally sell. In the end, I'd get exactly what you love and let that be your guide more than anything.
  10. When I decided on Verde Ithaca, some dealers advised me against it, saying it was hard to move. (They didn't have any VI cars on their way either.) When I started to see VI cars hit the showroom floor, they were moving faster than I anticipated. I bought mine as soon as I discovered Lamborghini Orange County had it. Honestly, I'd go with what you love. I think it's wonderful to see one of a kind cars out there. The only downside I have is when I go to a rally and a bunch of us are flying down the freeway, and I'm the ONLY green car, I really stick out for that mondo ticket. I'd order exactly what you like most and while I understand concerns about resale, there are two schools of thought, one is that by being unique, you are holding the value of your car, but the trick is making sure what you have as unique is what the market wants. I'd talk to several of the larger dealers like LOC and a few others to both get a price and to get their opinion. LOC moves a lot of cars and may have some really solid input about what holds value. I'd give Nora a call. Also, if you get a Roadster, I'd go with a dark interior as they do easily collect road dirt. I've had light interiors on convertibles and I'd never do it again. Tom
  11. I don't want to get into trouble here by linking to another forum, but if you Google "Lamborghini colors" it will come up at the top of the list. The dealer had a link to this site at one time. Lamborghini colors are always hard to photograph because of the depth and various hues within the color. They always look much better in person. Tom
  12. I believe one of the dealer sites has all the available colors posted. I can't recall which one. It has the names and the various shades. As I recall there were more than 50 colors. There were about six different shades of green. One shade of green had even more yellow. I wish I could find a link. While I understand they will paint any color, most stick with that list. Tom
  13. I was in South Dakota, not Washington. I don't know the procedures here. I had Washington plates and was just heading east on I90. He gave me no other option. There were half a dozen cops working the speed trap with him. I made the check out to the county and if I wanted my day in court I had to give notice. I didn't as I had no plans to make a special trip back to that place. It was somewhere near Spearfish. If I went to court about a month later at the soonest, I might get my money back. I was speeding. He was decent about it and was actually very professional. I don't have a story to tell about a tazer or a night stick to the nuts. He actually called in the check too. Again, this was about ten years ago. It's the only ticket I've ever had so I'm not going to tell you I'm a pro. I was just happy to be on my way. I think it was around $100.00. I've since been pulled over in my LP Roadster twice and it's just over two months old. Once for the police incorrectly reading the color of the registration sticker on the plate. The second time was because the cop thought I wasn't wearing a seat belt. He didn't notice it goes from right to left. Both times the cop was nice about it and apologized.
  14. Not true. About ten years ago, I was speeding through South Dakota and was stopped with WA plates. I had to write a check on the spot made out to the county. I then had to go to court if I wanted the money back. They said they required all out of state speeders to post money immediately given that most otherwise blow off the ticket. As I recall my other option was to take a ride downtown and either give them a credit card or have someone wire me something. I was going 20 over on I-90.
