I'm a glut for punishment and love a challenge so looking @ this 6.0 on eBay that had roof damage etc. The guy thats selling it is about as helpful as a chocolate teapot and very cagey about stuff, so im treading very carefully. He says all parts will come with the car yada yada yada, so before i waste 12 hours of my time driving down to look at the car only to find it's a major train wreck, has anyone got any insite on the car. There is no VIN posted, so not sure of the history of the owners or miles etc. Has anyone looked at it already, anything to share?
  2. EGR Temp probes, did you unscrew from the cats or never touched? KAVLYCO Sensors (M.A.P.) did you repair the wiring?
  3. Ok, Let me recap and correct where needed. runs on 6 cyl only, switch ECU's still runs on the same 6 cyl only? You swaped dist cap & rotor, no change? You swaped ign module l-r & r-l, no change? Comp & Valve timing perfect? Both fuel pumps working? Alarm system arms and disarms?
  4. Im betting dollars to donuts that you have valve timing issues. Have you checked compression on the left and right banks?
  5. Emilio, I used a local guy, has done some fantastic work for me and VERY reasonable priced. He did 6.0 rockers for me too, as well as some engine covers.
  6. More eye candy, just picked this up today. Identical weave colour and pattern as the stock 6.0 interior, no-one else has this carbon fibre that matches the 6.0 :-)
  7. Im only using 1 ECU, we're building a plug and play adapter to eliminate the need to cut and splice wires. There is zero reason to use 2 ECU's not to mention the cost would be $$$
  8. The 1st one is always the most difficult and $$$ as the mappings and all other info has to be inputed. So yes, it would 100% be possible, but not cheap. Cost to do for my 6.0 is just under $12k, but $8k of that is the actual hardware. Looking @ the MotEc M880 which it compares to, is about the same price hardware wise. I have no idea what Heffner - UGR etc charge for the M880, but i suspect it's way north of $10k The Gallardo GT series cars actuallY use the EURO 12, So its well sorted, just not used on a Murcielago or Diablo, yet.......
  9. It was silly for me to mention the 2001 aspect as i figured it was obvious it also worked on the 01 as that is what its going on.
  10. Should get the Engine management system finished up in a week. Ended up going with the EURO 12 system, the amazing thing about this setup is that it's eliminating the factory ECUs, yet uses the stock engine wiring harness with a removable plug and play adapter kit. I doubt any owners in the US have heard of this system, it’s more a European based design used in auto racing applications. I’ll be able to unplug the stock ECU's (Not a single wire is cut or repaired, everything is unplug and replug ) attach the custom made harness and then install a single ECU that drives both banks. It will have its own built in data logger and a blank connecter to add an additional data logger capable of storing 64mbs of data if the need arises. The possible benefit to other Diablo owners is that once we create the mappings on the EURO 12, I should in theory be able to install on any 91-99 model and get rid of the factory ECU’s all together, using the factory wire harnesses too. Thus reducing cost significantly and making the engine run on 1 ECU. As well as creating custom tunes for cars with headers, different fuels and all kinds of other neat benefits. That all aside, I’ll post pictures once I get the setup back from the technician doing the work. (Way beyond my skill level) As to the exhaust fabricator, nothing to report (Last I heard he was on a cruise)

  12. The whole flipping worlds gone batty. Thi is just the tip of the iceberg, I mean how many of us keep stuff in the iCloud, files, pictures and what not. Wonder when some high ranking official gets pictures posted other than just these celebs. Sad to see honestly, privacy used to be a given, now it's a distant memory.
  13. Open up 1 door at a time, take screwdriver and close the door latch pivot so the door is acting like its shut, then press on both plungers located by the door gas shock, hold them down and press the key fob, does the alarm then set?

  16. Im all in at this point, im going by what i know and feel, seems only 1 person ever had issues & UGR have posted they never had issues, so not much to go on. The Turbos im using are going to max out @ 1200 or so, which honestly, should be plenty. Not much to report this week, will see if the fabricator has any progress to show me. This is the clutch.

  20. Indeed, the twin supercharged setup once finished, was the mutts nuts and was one of the fastest cars out there. The instant TQ was addictive, still somewhat wished i had stopped trying to get more power out of it and left it @ the 650 WHP levels as it ran so damn good and was like a well oiled machine. Ah well, thats what happens though when you see and feel these power levels, you always want more. I sold that kit to Cory Vu a few years back, i think he still has it and never did out on a car.
  21. Yes, Pistons were custom built by JE and rods are by Carillo. The 6.0 comes with Titanium rods, good for HIGH Rev NA, but not so for F.I., so out they come. Not to mention, rods and pistons custom built are still 75% cheaper than OEM stuff from the factory.
  22. I am very confident it's going to be fine based on my personal experience of throwing high HP & Tq # on a Diablo drivetrain with ZERO issues. Im asking for some hard proof of failures, but appears there are none as expected. So, back to the build and bollocks to the rest. The reason i suspect there are issues with high HP Diablo & Muricleago builds are two fold. Engine management systems far and few between as was the issues with my previous setup and the rumors of breaking parts. Exhaust headers moving along, these are also built for consideration not just for Turbos, but will also be a direct bolt on to replace stock headers.

This is what i need to hear, if someone can step up and show or give some sort of verified proof of pictures, or at least a tuner coming on board and stating that they are blowing axels - diffs - gearboxes etc at these power levels, i would like to know this up front. Must be someone here that has this info, or is it just an urban legend?
  24. I have never seen or heard anyone blow a front diff, trans or anything due to forced induction, let alone chassis flex. I want to see some verified hard data on this, I keep hearing about this urban legend of blowing axles etc, but let's see or hear from people that have. If i see this happening due to 900 HP, then I'm done for. Bear in mind i made 650 Whp on the super chargers for over 3 years, 750 on the single turbo for about 4 months and never once did anything break chassis wise or flex and I know there are no other Diablos driven like mine. I was putting nearly 900 crank HP through the stock clutch doing 0-60 times in the high 2.8s and never a broken part, so I feel pretty confident 1000 + HP on the drivetrain is very reasonable.
  25. Why to both statements? More Turbo for what reason? Have you seen anyone ever break a Diablo - Murcielago front diff for any reason?
