  1. Thanks for the recommendations everyone. Jonathan has an offer in on Lambogators for me, but not sure the deal is going to happen. If not, he has now upgraded his desires to an 06+ 6speed in black ideally for the 115 range. Saw the 6-speed Nera in North Carolina...makes me want another one now :-)
  2. I have a friend that works with me that wants an 04-05 G with 3 pedals. If anyone knows of one around, he is in the market immediately. TIA
  3. I rode in a Heffner bolt on 560 that was being driven brutally hard for over 3k miles, it was solid as a rock. I would only assume the UGR is that good if not way better.
  4. They can just flash the ecu. In mine there are 2, not sure on the 560. Todd was in town doing a tuning day and he just did it on the spot. Deinifitely a worthwhile mod IMO.
  5. I just had the 15k service done on my 08, at 17k miles now and still have bunches of clutch life left. Probably 7-8 launches on the e-gear.
  6. The 560 was on pump gas for sure...and we were driving Seattle to LA and then Vegas, so it was 91 octane everywhere but WA I am pretty sure.
  7. Yeah, I hung out with Grady for a bit out there...We just opened an office in NC, so I'll hang out with him when I go out there and see what that kinda monster feels like. The bolt on almost made me vomit, so I assume I will need a bucket when going for a ride in the 1khp car :-)
  8. all of the packages with full engine builds right? bolt-on style, you are on your own if you have a failure right?
  9. Well I finally got a ride in a TT'd G. It was a Heffner build on a 560-4. Stock motor...something like 6lbs of boost...and all i can say is HOLY SHIT!!! I mean...I was straight frightened. The guys from Exotics Boutique hammered on that car for the full rally (2k miles) and drove it back to LA from Vegas...and spent a couple hours on the track at Spring Mountain. So without question the car took a beating and kept running strong. They were on the stock clutch in that car too...and it seemed to be holding up, but it was only a few thousand miles I believe since they were putting down the power. One thing I would say is an absolute MUST along with any of these, would be the CCBs...perhaps it was the driver :-) but without them, I think we may have died :-) Couple questions if anyone has answers: Is the 08, or earlier G, as reasonable to do the bolt-on setup to as the 560? I thought I remembered hearing something about the the 560 being substantially better, but is that true or did I misread? UGR - above you have the AEM engine management listed on the bolt-on setup. is that the case? asking cause the guys i rode with and I believe Heffner's site says they are using the stock ECU, only chipped or whatever obviously (also a boost controller I believe). So wondering how you guys are doing it on the bolt on kit. Or perhaps that is also an advantage to the 560 - using the stock ECU vs. on the earlier models (didn't they go from 2 ECUs on the 04-08 to only 1 on the 560?)
  10. I know and am seriously considering the UGR package, but regardless of warranty if they are always in getting tweaked cause the car hiccups or has hesitations during power or doesnt idle right or some kinda crap, then that would clearly be annoying as hell considering I just want to go pound on it :-) doesnt sound like the case though, and honestly it's what I expect from a dealer to say. i'm stoked :-)
  11. Sweet...that's what I thought, cause I know these forum's well enough that if people were out droppin 60-80k+ and having huge drama that it would be all over the place. I plan to build for crazy power and run slightly conservative. I am also thinking that a tune for running up here at altitude may be in order...but regardless, I'm doing it. any other feedback is welcome, but I'm stoked and I knew that had to be some crap. resale - sure, limited audience/high dollar mods/...but whatever, I'm not building it for someone else to enjoy or just to sell it :-) I got a nice summer left to enjoy stock life and once it gets shitty enough not to drive, I'm checkin it in for boost :-)
  12. no doubt, I know what it's like to double the power on a car and I'm not holding my breath that nothing will ever go wrong, but I feel that way about it stock/with software and exhaust/whatever. Dealer cited some guy named Graham I think? from his reference I assume he does business with Lambo Denver, so maybe he is out here...but I guess he has had tons of issues...but if so, who is he? where are the reports? who did the build? etc. I mean we have guys with thousands of miles on non-built motors running boost without issue from what I understand...
  13. Guys - I was at the dealer today and after much debate (and subsequently ensuring that I can actually get a guitar case in the space behind the seats so my bulldog can roll around with me in the car), I decided that I may keep my 08 forever and when I want something different just add to the stable vs. replace...I mean, the car is fukin wonderful :-) But that also means that I am seriously contemplating boosting the car come Jan/Feb timeframe for next season. That will be right at the end of my warranty, and getting another couple years of engine coverage along with an extra 600hp sounds just about right :-) So I have been reading and tracking y'alls threads for a while and feel pretty confident that I wouldnt be screwing up the car that I have wanted since I was a little kid, but I am at the dealer and mention that I plan to boost this one and get another in a couple years as a compliment and he ranted for a while about how all of them (outside of the ones that they show in the media or some crap) are having issues...that the tuners cant get them to run right...engine problems, reliability problems, screws the car up...etc. etc. etc. (also that resale is crap...which i give a shit less about). I didnt really get into it with him, but I have a feeling I would be reading about issues on the various forums just like we are reading about everyone loving their newfound insane gobs of power...and that really just hasnt been the case. but rather than assuming, I figured I would ask? so - whats the tally? blown engines? pooched cars in some form or fashion? anything? or just big fukin smiles and blistering speed? TIA
  14. The front in silver I would dig too...does that exist? (not sure I would black out the gold emblem...but if you do it, post pics for sure so I can see :-))
  15. Evo motorsports is in the phoenix area and they are an authorized heffner installer. Simple, they are close and can do it right.
