  1. Hi Megachad, Having the circumference measurement would be great, I can take it from there. Cheers
  2. Looking to replace my D's shift knob with one of the same diameter as the 6.0, Not looking at spending $900 for an OEM one, part #0024004603, if someone has a vernier caliper and a 6.0, can you please take a measurement for me and all those that may be interested. thanks
  3. Beautiful spoiler Sudesh, any spoilers in the works for the Diablo? I'm in the market for one.
  4. I'm not a pro by any means, but if you need a hand replacing your drywall and insulatio, I would be willing to help. Maybe a couple of others could lend a hand and remove one of your headaches.
  5. Door buttons, to match tha door handles.
  6. Looking for 91-93 four piece luggage set in good condition or better. Please PM me, thank you!
  7. Looking to see if anyone has installed THE 370mm Mov'it BBK kit on their Diablo. Would like some feedback regarding, performance, likes, dislikes, quality of workmanship, etc, before I buy. Opinions are welcome. Are they worth double the Brembo setup? Cheers
  8. Here is a picture of the two lugs side by side, sorry for the quality of the pic, the flash is in-op. The 12mm lug taper is 0.750" dia and the 14mm lug is 0.987" The 12mm lug protrudes 0.710" through the stock 17" wheel, the 14mm lug protrudes 0.860" through the Hercules wheel
  9. I have a 92, and mounting the Hercules wheels was NOT a simple swap. The problem : the 92 uses 12mm lug bolts, the 06 Murci Roadster uses 14mm lug bolts. If you mount the Hercules or Hermeras on an early D with the original 12mm lugs there will NOT be much contact between the bolt and the taper seat of the wheel, causing either damage to the wheel or the lug bolts coming loose. The solution : you can either have your hubs and rotors machined for the 14mm lugs, but mounting your original 17" wheels again will be impossible unless you have them machined to accept the 14mm lugs, or install hubs with the original 12mm holes. Tikore will make you a set of Titanium bolts with the 12mm thread and the taper the size of the 14mm lugs at a cost of approx $740 US. When I get home tonight I can post a pic of the size difference between the 12mm and 14mm bolts. If anyone else has a solution without buying titanium lugs, I would love to hear it. cheers
  10. Sudesh, did you see the lightweight SV seats for sale on the car and classic website?
  11. Hi Sudesh, Have you tried using 4 red lenses on the rear of your car? I would like to see the side-by-side comparison to your other choices. great work
  12. Looking to buy a VT or SV Diablo wing, color is not important, but looking for one without damage. Cheers
  13. rhyno, is anything on your panel working? Temp display, lights, buttons, etc? Are you located in Kelowna? A little off topic, but related, if you have your control panel out can you tell me about or send a photo of the lighting used for the panel, only the upper buttons light up on my panel, and was interested in finding out about if the lower buttons are supposed to light as well. Cheers
  14. Thanks Yellomurci, Tikore is the company that I have been in contact with. They informed me that their 14mm lug bolts have the exact same size taper as their 12mm lug bolts. When I tried my 12mm bolts in the Hercules wheels, they are noticably too small for the wheel. Tikore asked me to get the measurement of the 14mm bolts tapers. I checked locally to buy one to take the measurements myself, but I would have to order one, which could take a week to get, so I thought that a quicker solution would be to post the question here. cheers
  15. Looking at having a set of titanium lug bolts fabricated to mount a set of Hercules wheels on my Diablo. Can anyone take some measurements of the lugs for me, specifically the diameter of the largest part of the taper and the length of the tapered section? Thanks
  16. Thanks Sudesh, that is exactly the same wheel as mine. The horn buttons on my wheel are very sensitive too, I will disconnect them and rely on the signal stock horn to see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the write-up and great pics, you made it idiot proof. cheers
  17. The horn doesn't sound everytime I pull away from a stop, but it does probably 50% of the time. It even sounds without may hands on the steering wheel. It's quite embarassing when I drive through a parking lot or turn a corner, and the horn sounds. Thank God that it is just a short beep, but I have had to start waving at strangers so that it doesn't look like I'm trying to tell them to move the hell out of my way. I will try the the steering tilt/telescope lever to see if that makes a difference when I get it back from the detailer. I have not adjusted the wheel, so I'm not sure why it would just start happening out of the blue. I will also try just turning the wheel sitting still as you suggested. I will let you know. Thanks for the ideas
  18. Thanks David! Where is that diagram from? I wonder if my parts manual is missing some pages. Do you know if the padding is screwed on from the back or does it just clip on? My car isn't with me at the momment, so I can't just go out to the garage and have a look. Thanks
  19. My parts manual doesn't have any pics of the steering wheel and column for my 92. Can someone please post a copy if you have one, I'm trying to track down a horn / wiring problem (must have a wire grounding somewhere as my horn sounds on it's own when starting away from a stop). Thought that I would do some research before I start pulling things apart, for example how is the steering wheel center held on? Is there a clock spring? etc Thanks
  20. Lamborghini Countach hardcover book by Jean-Marc Borel, looking to trade for a similar book on the Diablo, or will sell. 9.5 out of 10 for condition, with dust jacket. A write up on the book can be seen at the following website. http://www.lambocars.com/archive/bookshr/borelt.htm
  21. In Canada, I was told that legally shops are not allowed to recharge systems with the R12 refridgerant, the system will have to be converted over to the new 134A, and from what I am told that would require changing of certain components.(condensor, evaporator, etc) I will look into having it repaired in the US. The dealer told me that they don't do A/C work and the service manager gave me the name of an outfit that sells and repairs A/C components. I have not called them yet.
  22. You are right about the front hood being off. Besides the spacing at the front bumper, the gaps on either side are not equal. I thought that was because the cars are handmade and not exact. The salesman said that the car is accident free, which means nothing, I know. I'm going to go back again to have a look with it up on a hoist, maybe I will see some evidence of a previous bump or damage. I was also thinking that the car was priced too high. Would I get tossed out on my head if I offer 85-90k?
  23. I need your expert opinions on a possible 1991 Diablo purchase. I found the car at the local Lambo dealer in Vancouver, Red on Tan, has 8,000km, cam tensioners have NOT been done, A/C NOT working and NOT converted to 134A, some rock chips on front bumper and spoiler, NO wing, some curb rash on one rear wheel, original clutch, some cracks in the front A-arm bushings, torn door seals, not the original tires, Good compression test readings all within 5-10% of each other. The car is bone stock. Their asking price is $109k. I've read that low mileage cars are worse than high milage cars, so should I be concerned over the low mileage, or just expect a lot of leak repairs before it is usable? How about the tensioners and A/C? The dealer said that they do not repair A/C, I would have to have that done elsewhere. Are there any signs that the tensioners are about to fail, or is it instant, without warning? Can anyone recommend a good local shop in BC Canada for a PPI, besides the dealer selling the car? I have to admit that one of my weaknesses is negotiating, so what is a fair value considering the work that will need to be completed, your best negotiating tricks and tips? Cheers
  24. Could that be the same pearl white anniverary countach that was listed on Vancouver craigslist before Christmas for 80k?
