  1. Yes Fivecar, my 91 responds to the "turn the key three times" and since I had my left engine light come on the other night (while cruising to the Official GUMBALL 3000 party in Stockholm, btw). I checked it and got: 11. Intake air temperature sensor It was a cool night, about 40F. and all the temps showed normal although engine temp was a bit on the cool side, around 80C. Oil temp steady at 90C. Any ideas what could cause this? Is it the sensor, as always? Could it have disliked the nice cool air, maybe? My right cat light comes on every now and then and we recently switched it to the left side to isolate the problem and now it moved to the left side, so I guess it's time to get a new sensor for that one, but I never experienced the no. 11 code before! ???
  2. Guess What??? After a bit of elimination we narrowed it down to the starter motor, gave it a couple of good whacks, hooked up the battery and let everything reset for a few minutes, turned the key and cranked it... Fired right up and ran like a charm. How absolutely fantastic to finally get to hear the engine again after a long dark snowy winter. Now it´s time for a yearly change of all filters and fluids and sit back and wait for the government to sweep away all the sand and salt from the roads... Another week or so and we are right in the beginning of season. Thanks again for your helpful tips and suggestions. So glad you guys are out there! ps. I´m also incredibly relieved I didn´t fry anything, ecu´s and such, while putting extra power onto my shorted Optima. Pure luck I guess, or just maybe we are all underestimating the Italians, hahaha
  3. Where did you find this integrated camera?
  4. Thank you all for your prompt and friendly advice. Yes I tried it with the charger hooked up. Now I hear it´s not the best idea. I will give it a go tonight with a friend of mine and will check out your suggestions. Will keep you posted...
  5. Hi guys. Snow is finally gone and having kept my battery charged with a state of the art trickle charger I decided to give it a go! No power what so ever in my 1/2 year old Optima red top, so I gave it a little bit of starter boost and slowly the starter motor engaged. I heard right away that it wouldn't start and aborted with the attempt by disengaging the ignition key. To my horror the starter motor kept winding until all the fuses in the garage popped and everything finally went silent. What on earth happened? What do I do now? The battery does not accept charging and is indicating as shorted and also removed from the car. I have attempted to mount a new battery but when trying to put the wires on the poles it sparked like crazy and I heard the starter motor coff before I removed the wires... HELP!!!!!
  6. Cool car Chipster and welcome to the Diablo -91 Club. Personally when I buy a car I Allways change all filters and fluids just to know exactly whats in there and to start from brand new. I also did cables, plugs, wires and distributorcap Good luck with your new car
  7. I usually go about 350 kms when going urban and about 400 when travelling but then there is plenty of reserve depending on the intensity of my driving. When on the track it seemed I spent about 4 litres per 10 kms
  8. CONGRATULATIONS Bill )))))))) I know exactly how you feel, going from a f355 as my latest ride into a red Diablo -91... It just doesn´t compare Good luck with your new car and baby that clutch (not to mention your lovely wife) )
  9. Tragic stuff all around... Pls be safe out there guys and gals, someone just might love you Vila i Frid
  10. Can´t wait to see this one Come on...... give us the time )))))))))))))))))))))
  11. Gongratulations to you both In Sweden we have the inner ones red and the outer yellow since we´re not allowed to drive with red turn signals. Since living in the US for a couple of years I must admit though that all red looks a hell of a lot cooler and I actually bought red ones for several of my cars and bikes when visiting the states during the years. Just had to remember to change them before going in for the dreaded yearly inspection with our DMV. Well congrats again and don´t forget to enjoy your cars...
  12. What size of speakers are used on the Diablo? Doors? Sub? Are they round or oval? Would help me to browse for alternatives...
  13. Never heard of them... they have a www? And do they also do subs?
  14. Here´s a link to our Swedish community with mixed pics from Rudskogen. I will post some of mine later. Taking the Lambo to a friends wedding in central Stockholm now... and it´s RAINING sigh http://www.autolife.se/page/14568/images/?ImageStart=26
  15. no no no, just used it to stop the car from doing something really unplanned and expensive...
  16. Temp was absolutely normal on the water side, (I´m in celcius) 85 to 90 and oil crept up to a high of 130 during the most fierce stint. After cool down lap it was back to somewhere around 95 to 100 and then to normal after idleing 5 min. Great in my opinion!!
  17. Don´t all cars have this box? There´s no sound from it and no visible speaker and When I open the top of it there´s just a little storage space, mind you it´s a lot more shallow than on the passenger side... hmm, must check this out This is why I want some pics of someones car WITH the speaker
  18. hahaha, this is true... but I just put about a 1000 miles on it this past weekend going to a track meet in Norway and after a while you really could use some tunes you know. So I would still like to see what the installation looked like from factory and also if you had your cars proffessionaly done in some audio store, I could use some inspiration and great ideas from you guys
  19. Gues I screwed up the pics... Upload takes like an hour and still doesn´t work I´ll try again tomorrow Sorry
  20. So I went to this track event in Norway and tried out the Diablo on track for the first time. Sooooo much fun and also a bit scary. Huge mix of cars and although we had plenty of different Lambos signed up it turned out I was the only one except for Frank Sinatras beautiful Miura which we never got to see actually driving. Learned a lot about my car and it´s behaviour under somewhat faster than normal driving and also got to experience the importance of a cool down lap when it comes to brakes which totally faded after standing still on idle for about 5 minutes to let all the fluids cool down. Did not think about the hot brakes boiling the brake fluid. When pulling up to the nearest cars I almost ran into them before I understood what was going on and found the parking brake. Apart from that little incident everything worked out great and we had some good instructors on hand to give us some hints and show us the ideal line. Great fun the whole weekend and already looking forward to the next one...
  21. I was not fortunate enough to get the big music package in my car, hence no Bass just the original Alpine door speakers and the small tweeters up on the dash. I don´t know of anyone near me with a car that has the optional sub factory mounted and would so appreciate any pictures of this and input on weather it actually works. Would like to do a similar setup but with modern stuff and am not to keen on hacking away to much of the originality of the car. So, pic´s of original setup AND maybe a few of some other sound solutions in Diablos, greatly appreciated
  22. Is there any way we could find out? They look great but would they fit on a 91...?
  23. Interested in the Diablo luggage, depending on price of course Uffe
